Abstract:
The air conditioner may include a sensing unit for sensing a breakdown or an operation state of a motor. The state of the motor is sensed using a non-contact type sensor, whereby it is possible to easily monitor states of a compressor and a fan motor, to sense progress of the abnormality of the compressor and the fan motor or whether the compressor and the fan motor have broken down, and to estimate the expected lifespan of the compressor or the fan motor based on the state thereof using the monitored results. Damage to the air conditioner may be prevented due to abnormality of the compressor or the fan motor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air conditioner system including an integrated controller that separately determines whether sensor fault is occurred in each of the plurality of outdoor units, based on a sensing data of each of a plurality of outdoor units, and if there is an outdoor unit in which sensor fault is occurred, finally determines that sensor fault is occurred when a difference between a first sensing data of the outdoor unit in which sensor fault is occurred and a second sensing data of remaining outdoor unit is equal to or greater than a failure determination reference value, while operating the plurality of outdoor units under the same condition for a set time, and if a difference between the first sensing data and the second sensing data is less than the failure determination reference value, determines that sensor fault is not occurred, and if there is an outdoor unit determined to have sensor fault among the plurality of outdoor units, controls the outdoor unit in which sensor fault is occurred, based on the sensing data of the outdoor unit in which sensor fault is not occurred, and a control method thereof.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an air conditioner includes a step of sensing the capacitance of condensed water through a plurality of electrode pads to sense the level of condensed water stored in a condensed water storage part during cooling, a step of comparing the sensed level of the condensed water with a drainage level stored in a memory, and a step of, upon determining that the sensed level of the condensed water is within an error range of the drainage level, operating a drainage pump. A water level detecting device of the air conditioner more accurately senses the level of condensed water based on the capacitance of the condensed water, thereby effectively controlling the drainage pump.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a device for evaluating performance of an air conditioner based on climate simulation and a method thereof. The device for evaluating performance of an air conditioner based on climate simulation and the method thereof may supply load to one or more sub-chambers that simulates climate of a selected region, may calculate energy consumption of an air conditioner by applying changes in temperature and humidity supplied by the sub-chambers, and may evaluate energy consumption of the air conditioner that operates in the region with specific climate.

Disclosed is a method of controlling an air conditioner including a step of sensing the capacitance of condensed water through any one of a plurality of electrode pads to sense the level of the condensed water during cooling, and a step of operating a drainage pump based on the level of the condensed water sensed through any one of the electrode pads to drain the condensed water stored in the condensed water storage part. A water level detecting device of the air conditioner more accurately senses the level of condensed water based on the capacitance of the condensed water, thereby effectively controlling the drainage pump.
