    Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic device for a vehicle and an operation method thereof. The electronic device, which performs transmission and reception of information with other vehicles through direction communication, includes an interface unit, and a processor for acquiring traveling environment information on a travel road through the interface unit, determining a first distance, which is an estimated arrival distance of a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication signal, based on the traveling environment information, calculating a first time, which is a time to prepare for danger defined by the first distance versus a speed of the vehicle, and generating a signal to control the speed of the vehicle, for secure of the time to prepare for danger. Data produced in the vehicle electronic device can be transmitted to an external device through a 5G communication system. The electronic device of an autonomous device of the present invention may be linked to or combined with an artificial intelligence module, a drone (unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, devices associated with virtual reality (VR) and 5G services, etc.

    Abstract: A method for controlling an autonomous vehicle is disclosed. A vehicle control method for controlling a following vehicle that follows a preceding vehicle, according to an embodiment of the present invention, includes receiving target driving state information; projecting a distance marker image forward through a projector provided in a vehicle;detecting a preceding vehicle and the distance marker image through a camera provided in the vehicle; acquiring actual driving state information of the vehicle on the basis of a positional relation between the preceding vehicle and the distance marker image; calculating an error between the target driving state information and the actual driving state information; and controlling the vehicle such that the error decreases.One or more of an autonomous vehicle, a user terminal and a server of the present invention can be associated with AI, robots, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of controlling platooning in an autonomous driving system that can cope with occurrence of a communication blind spot in platooning. In an aspect, a method of controlling platooning in which following vehicles receiving and driving a control signal from a leader vehicle and a communicator of the leader vehicle drive in a group includes monitoring and digitizing a communication status of the platooning; checking, if the digitized communication status is less than a predetermined threshold value, a communication blind spot between the leader vehicle and the following vehicle; determining, when the following vehicle is positioned at the communication blind spot, whether a relative position change of the following vehicle is available within the platooning; and changing, if a relative position change of the following vehicle is available, a relative position of the following vehicle within the platooning.
