Abstract:
A patch cord including a connector attached to an end of an electrical cable. The connector includes a boot member that slides over a portion of a wire manager to actuate a retention arrangement of the connector. Certain types of retention arrangements are actuated by deflecting flexible tabs of the wire manager inwardly to bite into at least an outer jacket of the electrical cable.

Abstract:
An electrical connector including a circuit board, a contact spring insert, and an insulation displacement terminal insert wherein the contact spring insert is positioned between the insulation displacement terminal insert and the circuit board. The insert assembly can be mounted to a jack housing to form a telecommunications jack for receiving telecommunications plugs.
Abstract:
A telecommunications patch panel includes a frame defining at least one opening configured to receive a connector module; and at least one connector module rotatably mounted in the at least one opening of the frame. Each connector module defines an axis of rotation generally parallel to the front face. Each connector module includes at least a first and second linear array of openings configured to receive jacks modules. Each of the openings in the first linear array is configured to receive a jack module having a first orientation, and each of the openings in the second linear array is configured to receive a jack module having a second orientation. The second orientation is rotated about 180° from the first orientation along an axis of insertion of the jack module.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to relates to a telecommunications outlet box including a peripheral wall that is primarily curved except for a portion in which a connector access opening of the box is defined. The present disclosure also relates to a telecommunications outlet box having a cradle in which a cable management spool is retained. The present disclosure further relates to a cable guide for use with a telecommunications outlet box. The cable guide projects outward from a connector access opening of the outlet box and provides a protective shield around cables connected to the outlet box.
Abstract:
An electrical connector arrangement includes a storage device coupled to a connector housing. The storage device is configured to store physical layer information pertaining to the electrical connector arrangement. The storage device also has contacts that enable the physical layer information to be read from the storage device by a media reading interface. A connector assembly includes at least one receptacle assembly; a printed circuit board; and a media reading interface.
Abstract:
A connector arrangement includes a single-piece plug nose body defining a cavity in which a storage device is held. A cover for the cavity is attached to the plug nose body by a living hinge. Example storage devices include an EEPROM on a printed circuit board. The storage device is electrically isolated from primary contacts of the connector arrangement.

Abstract:
A power sourcing unit for a power over ethernet system. The unit includes a chassis with a power supply guide and a CPU guide, and a power supply including a power supply connector. The unit also includes a printed circuit board including first and second connectors and being coupled to a plurality of RJ-45 jacks, and a CPU line card including a CPU connector. The power supply guide engages the power supply to allow the power supply to be slid into and out of the unit to couple the power supply connector to the first connector of the printed circuit board. The CPU guide engages the CPU line card to allow the CPU line card to be slid into and out of the unit to couple the CPU connector to the second connector of the printed circuit board. The CPU line card allows the unit to be coupled to a network. Multiple power sourcing units can be daisy-chained together.
Abstract:
A cover assembly for covering an outlet box. The assembly includes a cover plate and an insert piece having a middle member and two retention members. The cover plate defines a cover aperture which receives the middle member of the insert piece from a back side of the cover plate. The retention members of the insert piece abut the back side of the cover plate. The insert piece may define a connector aperture for receiving a cable connector and may include designation figures. The assembly may also include a strap defining mounting apertures for receiving snap-fit connector modules. The strap may define shelves along two opposed sides for receiving the retention members of an insert piece. The strap may also define tab slots for receiving tabs of the insert piece.
