Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) and a flexible protocol data unit (PDU) packaging method thereof are provided. The user equipment performs a flexible PDU packaging procedure in a radio link control (RLC) layer when receiving configuration information that configures a 7-bit length indicator (LI) size and a flexible PDU size from a base station. The user equipment uses an exactly-filled LI to indicate the end of a service data unit (SDU) occurring at the end of the previous one PDU and an accumulated SDU size of the previous one PDU exceeds 123 octets. In addition, the user equipment utilizes a special value of a header extension (HE) field or an alternative E-bit of the header to indicate that the PDU includes only one SDU and the SDU is a complete SDU.
Abstract:
A method of selecting an active SIM from multiple SIMs and a wireless device utilizing the same are disclosed. The method includes: acquiring SIM information associated with each SIM under a dynamic environment, wherein each SIM provides for the PS data service; calculating a SIM score of each SIM based on the acquired SIM information associated with each SIM; and selecting the active SIM based on all SIM scores to provide for the PS data service. The SIM information includes RSSI, RSCP, Ec/N0, CQI, and data speed on each SIM in the dynamic environment.
Abstract:
An apparatus for obtaining a vital sign of a subject includes: an image sensor and a vital sign processor. The image sensor is employed for capturing a video of the subject to generate a plurality of first video frames. The vital sign processor is employed for processing the plurality of first video frames to generate a vital sign signal. Additionally, the vital sign processor adjusts a first parameter set for configuring the image sensor to make the plurality of first video frames suitable for obtaining the vital sign of the subject.

Abstract:
A mode switching handling method includes: when an operating system mode is switched from a first mode to a second mode, saving only a portion of register data that are stored in registers into a storage device, wherein an M-bit register length is used in the first mode, an N-bit register length is used in the second mode, and M and N are different integers.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device supporting a plurality of Radio Access Technologies (RATs) and a plurality of radio frequencies is provided. In the mobile communication device, a Baseband processor is configured to schedule the plurality of RATs and the plurality of radio frequencies in pairs in an order for a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) selection procedure, and determine one of the pairs and repeat the determined pair in the order of the pairs during the PLMN selection procedure.
Abstract:
A detection method and a detection device for detection of at least one region of interest (ROI) using the same are provided. A plurality of successive frames is captured by an image sensor. A first frame among the plurality of successive frames is divided into a plurality of sub regions. A first vital-sign feature of a first sub region among the plurality of sub regions is obtained. A first feature signal is generated according to the first vital-sign feature. Whether the first feature signal is a first valid image signal is determined. When it is determined that the first feature signal is a first valid image signal, the first sub region is identified as a first ROI. In the frames occurring after the first frame, the first ROI is tracked.
Abstract:
The present invention to provide methods and related controllers that manage HARQ processes in a wireless communications system. The present invention provides a method and related controller to map data units (e.g. PDU) of importance that is to be transmitted to a HARQ process having a higher transmission success rate to prevent the data units from being transmitted via a HARQ process having more transmission failures. In addition, the present invention also provides a method and a related controller to force a HARQ process to retransmit a data unit that has been correctly received by a receiving end to reduce the latency of retransmission caused by a possible transmission failure occurring between a MAC layer and a RLC layer at the receiving end.
Abstract:
An embodiment of a method for call management, performed by a processing unit of a UE (user equipment), is disclosed. The method is employed in a hardware configuration of at least two subscriber identity cards sharing a radio resource. A PS (packet-switched) service is first provided for the first subscriber identity card. Packet data transmission and reception is handed over to a second PS service with the second subscriber identity card from the first PS service after receiving a call request requesting a CS (circuit-switched) service with the second subscriber identity card.
