摘要： When a data recording process fails to normally complete on an information recording medium, for example, because of a power interruption, a record controlling apparatus resumes recording immediately when power is turned back on, while protecting data that was recorded prior to the power interruption. The record controlling apparatus acquires, from a file system, a list of files that underwent a simple-salvage process, generates a tentative file name unfound in the list, and then generates a file with that tentative file name having, as the content thereof, data recorded in an area indicated by a new allocation area allocation descriptor contained in backup information in a backup memory. The file system that is updated with the generated file is recorded onto an optical disk as the information recording medium. The backup information is then deleted from the backup memory. The record controlling apparatus finds applications in video cameras, video recorders, etc., each of which uses an information recording medium with a file thereof managed by a file system.

摘要： An apparatus for editing an input information signal is capable of preventing breaks in sound even if the length of a cut is edited as extremely short. In the editing apparatus, the input digital information signal is temporarily stored in a recording buffer means. Further, the digital information signal is read at a speed faster than its write speed and recorded on a recording medium. The digital information signal read from the recording medium is written into a reproducing buffer means. Thereafter, the digital information signal is read from the reproducing buffer means at a speed slower than its write speed, after which it is restored to an analog information signal. A control means for controlling recording and reproduction controls whether an information signal should be recorded in an auxiliary area according to the presence or absence of a splice recording, and monitors whether a point to be edited has been changed to a length causing a break in sound due to editing. Thus, even if the length of a redefined cut is less than or equal to a limit length, edit working allows the prevention of the length of the cut being less than or equal to the limit length. It is thus possible to reliably prevent the occurrence of breaks in reproduced sound.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for automatically editing audio signals by determining an editing section on a recording medium having the signals recorded thereon. A first editing point is searched for on the recording medium, and the location of that point is stored in a memory. A second editing point is searched for on the recording medium. The location of the first editing point is compared with that of the second editing point. One of the two locations is set as an in-point and the other location as an out-point in accordance with the result of the comparison. The editing section determined by the in- and out-points is displayed on a screen.

摘要： A reusable assembled box and a method of transport thereof are provided, in that the box has a base with greater strength, and is capable of disassembled into compact pieces facilitating sending back thereof, thus reducing a transport cost and enabling reuse of the box in higher frequency. The box comprises a first member, a second member, and coupling members. The first member is in a substantially rectangular shape, comprises a base and a pair of opposing side walls folded up from the base. The second member is in a substantially rectangular shape and comprises a base, overlain on the base of the first member, in a shape substantially identical to that of the first member, and a pair of side walls adjacent to the walls of the first member. The coupling members detachably couples upper end corners of adjacent side walls of the first and second members assembled into a box by overlaying the bases of the first and second members. Thus the box can be easily assembled with a pair of board-like bases in a simple and substantially rectangular shape by overlaying the bases, thus realizing a base having greater strength, and enabling packing of heavy parts into the box, and when the box is reused, it can be disassembled into rectangular boards of a substantially the same shape and compactly piled up for sending back, thus transport cost can be reduced.
