Abstract: A polymer thin film includes polyethylene having a weight average molecular weight of at least approximately 500,000 g/mol, where the thin film is characterized by transparency within the visible spectrum of at least approximately 80%, bulk haze of less than approximately 5%, and an in-plane elastic modulus of at least approximately 10 GPa. The polymer thin film may be thermally conductive and may be incorporated into an optical element and configured to dissipate heat, such as from a light-emitting device.

Abstract: A head-worn device that includes a lens frame, a first temple arm, one or more electrical components, and a heat-transfer component. The lens frame is configured to hold at least two lenses in place. The first temple arm is coupled to the lens frame via a hinge. The one or more electrical components are located within the lens frame, and the one or more electrical components emit heat when operating. Abstract: A camera device for integration into a wearable device is presented. The camera device includes an image sensor, a lens assembly, a first high density interconnect (HDI) tape substrate, a second HDI tape substrate, and a molded plastic layer. The molded plastic layer is sandwiched between the first and second HDI tape substrates. A wearable device with at least one soft electrode is further presented. The at least one soft electrode includes a conductive coating applied to an elastomer substrate and monitors electrical signals generated by a wearer of the wearable device to initiate an appropriate action. A method of forming an aggregate coating for a wearable device is further presented. One or more thin films are applied to a surface of the wearable device, and a paint coating is applied to a surface of the one or more thin films to form the aggregate coating.
