    摘要: An image forming method including forming an electrostatic latent image on an image bearing member; developing the electrostatic latent image using a color toner and a transparent toner to form a color toner image and a transparent toner image thereon; transferring the color toner image and the transparent toner image to a recording material; and fixing the color toner image and the transparent toner image on the recording material. The color toner includes a polyester resin and a colorant, and the loss tangent of the color toner has a maximum peak at a temperature of from 80° C. to 160° C., and is not greater than 3 at the maximum peak. The transparent toner includes a crystalline polyester resin, and the loss tangent of the transparent toner has a maximum peak at a temperature of from 80° C. to 160° C., and is not less than 3 at the maximum peak.

    摘要: A toner containing at least a binder resin, releasing agent, and colorant, wherein the binder resin contains polyester resin (A), polyester resin (B), and polyester resin (C), which is prepared by condensation-polymerizing (i) an alcohol component containing an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol compound and (ii) a carboxylic acid component; at least one of the polyester resin (A) and polyester resin (B) is a polyester resin prepared by condensation-polymerizing (i) the alcohol component substantially composed of only aliphatic alcohol and containing 1,2-propanediol in an amount of 65 mole % or more of a divalent alcohol component and (ii) the carboxylic acid component; and a softening point Tm(A) of the polyester resin (A) is 10 C or more higher than Tm(B) of the polyester resin (B), and the absolute difference between Tm(C) of the polyester resin (C) and the Tm(B) is 5° C. or less.

    摘要: In the image forming method, at least one color toner image and a transparent toner image are formed using a color developer including a color toner and a carrier and contained in a first developing device, and a second developer including a transparent toner and a carrier and contained in a second developing device. A supplementary developer is supplied at least to the second developing device while discharging excess of the developer in the developing device. The transparent toner includes a lubricant and has a viscoelastic property such that a loss tangent (tan δ), which is defined as a ratio (G″/G′) of loss modulus (G″) to storage modulus (G′), has a peak at a temperature of from 80° C. to 160° C. and the peak has a height of not less than 3.

    摘要: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus capable of reliably forming an image with density gradation, one which does not have a low-quality appearance. The estimated average halftone granularity of the toner image after developing but before electrostatic transfer was set at 0.25 or less. The average halftone granularity was found by measuring the granularity of a toner image at locations of different average brightness by means of newly proposed formula, and averaging the measured values for which the average brightness is 40 to 80. The estimated average halftone granularity was obtained by estimating the average halftone granularity of the toner image on a photoreceptor by means of a newly proposed method.
