    Abstract: A retrieval support system includes a database which stores commodity image data; a retrieval unit which acquires commodity image data having image characteristic information which is the same as or similar to image characteristic information indicating a characteristic in an image of input image data, from the database, with respect to the input image data; and a condition setting unit which sets a retrieval condition including at least one of time information relating to time, place information relating to places and occasion information relating to occasions. The retrieval unit performs retrieval of the commodity image data based on the retrieval condition set by the condition setting unit.     Abstract: A signal control apparatus includes a power supply device, a battery, a power switching section, a detector, and a display controller. A first mode is a mode in which electric power is supplied from the power supply device to each component provided in the signal control apparatus and a second mode is a mode in which electric power is supplied from the battery to the each component. The detector detects a volume of traffic on the basis of an image captured by an imaging device. The power switching section selects the first mode when a voltage or a current supplied to the power supply device is larger than a predetermined threshold value and selects the second mode when a voltage or a current supplied to the power supply device is equal to or lower than the predetermined threshold value.

    Abstract: An interactive device to perform speech interaction with a speaker includes a recognition section, an input/output section, an information generation section, an identification section, and a control section. The recognition section is configured to recognize audience members around the speaker. The input/output section is configured to input and output information as speech. The information generation section is configured to generate second information in response to first information that has been input to the input/output section. The identification section is configured to identify a speaker who spoke the first information. The control section is configured to judge whether or not the second information is information favorable to the speaker identified by the identification section, and to cause the second information to be output from the input/output section in cases in which the second information is judged to be favorable.
