    Abstract: An arrangement for determining a location of a base station by user equipment uses measurements of reference signals of a base station from different user equipment positions. The measurement results are preprocessed and then provided to a machine learning entity. The machine learning entity estimates the location of the base station and provides the estimated location for use in other functionality of the user equipment.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for robust radio resource allocation for uplink radar and other user equipment calibration are provided. For example, a method may include receiving, at a network element, measurements of a set of synchronization signal blocks or channel state information reference signals or both synchronization signal blocks and channel state information reference signals from a user equipment. The method may additionally include sending to the user equipment a direct or indirect indication of a random access opportunity corresponding to a synchronization signal block index value or channel state information reference signal index value, wherein the indication is for usage to perform user equipment calibration.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for beam steering is disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a beam forming signal generator configured to generate a beam forming signal for applying to at least one of amplitude and phase shift circuitry associated with an antenna array to provide a radiation pattern. A determining means is provided that is configured to determine a signal strength of interfering signals received at the antenna array within a user equipment and to determine a dominant interfering ratio indicative of a strength of a strongest interfering signal relative to a strength of other interfering signals. A comparator is provided that is configured to compare the dominant interfering ratio to a predetermined ratio value and where the dominant interfering ratio exceeds the predetermined ratio value to generate a control signal for controlling the beam forming signal generator to generate a radiation pattern comprising a beam and at least one steered null.

    Abstract: To facilitate positioning a user device, the user device is configured to measure, per an antenna array, reference signals received from transmission-reception points and to check, whether a downlink reference signal from a transmission-reception point is received in a serving antenna array and in one or more non-serving antenna arrays with a first delay. A non-serving antenna array receiving the signal with the first delay is an alternative antenna array to the serving antenna array. When the serving antenna array is under a maximum permissible exposure event, the user device is configured to select, which one of one or more alternative antenna arrays and the serving antenna panel is to be used for transmitting at least a positioning signal to the transmission-reception point.

    Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a planar printed circuit board having at least receiver circuitry. The apparatus also includes a plurality of directional antennas that have radiation patterns that cover a respective plurality of partially overlapping sectors that extend outwardly from the printed circuit board.     Abstract: The disclosure presents a method and system for enabling the monitoring of more than one propagation link (PL) between two transceivers, such as a fifth-generation (5G) broadband cellular base station (gNB) and user equipment (UE). The PL can represent a radiation pattern emitted by a MIMO antenna port. The monitoring can capture and record PL quality parameters and associate them to a PL index (PLI). The process can periodically cycle through the set of available PLs and select a best fit PLI configuration. The best fit PLI can be one that satisfies a link quality threshold and PL efficiency thresholds. The selected PLI can be communicated to both transceivers using parameter containers added to conventional control signals. Data messages communicated between the transceivers can utilize the selected best fit PLI configuration.
