    Abstract: Certain aspects provide a method for object detection. The method generally includes: transmitting, via a first antenna, a transmit signal generated via a first transmit chain, the transmit signal being generated based on a mixer output signal; receiving a first receive signal via a first receive chain coupled to a second antenna, the first receive signal being associated with the transmit signal; generating, via a first phase shifter, a first phase-shifted signal based on an adjustment signal received via a signal path coupled to the first transmit chain, the adjustment signal being generated based on the mixer output signal; combining the first phase-shifted signal and the first receive signal to generated a combined receive signal, wherein a phase-shift setting of the first phase shifter is controlled based on at least one of a mutual coupling component or a phase noise of the combined receive signal.

    Abstract: A system for power amplifier control includes a processor, a memory in communication with the processor, wherein the processor and the memory are configured to simultaneously provide input signal strength of each of a plurality of power amplifiers in a millimeter wave (mmW) phased array system, determine an average input signal strength of the plurality of power amplifiers based on the provided input signal strengths using an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), determine a voltage headroom for the plurality of power amplifiers based on the determined average input signal strength, estimate a power backoff value based on the voltage headroom, and determine a gain control value based on the estimated power backoff value.

The apparatus may include a set of power detectors configured to generate a set of analog signals related to a set of output signal power levels of a set of transmit chains of a transmitter, respectively; an analog summer; a set of switching devices configured to send a selected one or more of the set of analog signals to the analog summer, and substantially isolated unselected one or more of the set of power detectors from the analog summer, wherein the analog summer is configured to generate a cumulative analog signal based on a sum of the selected one or more of the set of analog signals; an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) configured to generate a digital signal based on the cumulative analog signal; and a controller configured to control the set of switching devices.

    Abstract: An inductor structure has a first terminal and a second terminal, and includes a conductor path between the first terminal and the second terminal. The conductor path includes a first inductor, a second inductor, a third inductor, a fourth inductor, a fifth inductor, and a sixth inductor. The conductor path may be configured such that, when a current flows from the first terminal to the second terminal, the current flows in a first direction in the first inductor, the third inductor, and the fifth inductor, and the current flows in a second direction in the second inductor, the fourth inductor, and the sixth inductor. The first direction may be clockwise and the second direction may be counterclockwise, or vice versa.
