摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes receiving control signaling that configures the UE with a retransmission request time duration for requesting packet retransmission relative to when a packet in a sequence of packets is determined to be unsuccessfully received, monitoring for one or more transmissions including at least a subset of packets in the sequence of packets, and transmitting, prior to expiration of the retransmission request time duration, a first retransmission request to request retransmission of at least one packet in the sequence of packets based on a first retransmission trigger being satisfied.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may receive, at a first operational layer of the receiving device, one or more protocol data units (PDUs) within a set of PDUs. The receiving device may identify, at a second operational layer of the receiving device, a sequence gap associated with a missing PDU from the set of PDUs, the first operational layer being a lower operational layer of the receiving device than the second operational layer. The receiving device may determine, at the second operational layer, that a triggering condition associated with the missing PDU has occurred. The receiving device may provide, by the second operational layer and based at least in part on the triggering condition occurring, an indication to update a reception buffer of the first operational layer to a last received protocol data unit of the set of PDUs.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for packet buffering. A method that may be performed by a receiving node includes dynamically determining one or more time durations to buffer packets. The one or more time durations can be different than a time duration of a configured timer for buffering the packets. The receiving node may input one or more parameters to a machine learning algorithm and obtain, as output of the machine learning algorithm based on the input one or more parameters, one or more time durations to buffer packets. The receiving node buffers packets for the determined one or more time durations. The receiving node may use machine learning to dynamically determine the one or more time durations to buffer packet. The buffering may be at a radio link control (RLC) reassembling buffer and/or a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) buffer.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate on a first set of carriers in a first frequency range (FR) and a second set of carriers in a second FR. The UE may detect a radio link control (RLC) discontinuity on at least one of the first set of carriers or the second set of carriers. The UE may identify one or more FRs, of the first FR and the second FR, in which the RLC discontinuity occurred. The UE may transmit an RLC status report based at least in part on the identified one or more FRs. Numerous other aspects are described.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a control message indicating a resource configuration for uplink and downlink transmissions. The UE may determine an uplink buffer threshold for a modem buffer of the UE based on the resource configuration. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a feedback request message requesting that the base station provide feedback for at least one previously transmitted uplink packet based on a comparison of an amount of previously transmitted uplink data and scheduled uplink data stored in the modem buffer relative to the uplink buffer threshold. The UE may receive, based on transmitting the feedback request message, a feedback response message corresponding to a first previously transmitted uplink packet of the at least one previously transmitted uplink packet.

In aspects, an HFN desynchronization condition is identified based on Ethernet frame validation. For example, aspects of the present disclosure provide mechanisms for validating and Ethernet frame. An HFN desynchronization condition is identified or detected when an Ethernet frame is determined to be corrupt based on the Ethernet frame validation in accordance with aspects herein. In some aspects, such as in Ethernet header compression (EHC) protocol implementations, an HFN desynchronization condition may be identified based on a determination that a deciphered context identification (CID) is not a valid CID (e.g., is not a CID in a set of valid CIDs).

摘要: Wireless communications systems and methods related to buffer/memory management for multi-connectivity in a wireless communication network are provided. A wireless communication device transmits a first portion of a plurality of data packets using a first radio access technology (RAT). The wireless communication device transmits a second portion of the plurality of data packets using a second RAT different from the first RAT. The wireless communication device stores at least some of the plurality of data packets in a memory pending an acknowledgement (ACK) indication associated with at least a first data packet of the plurality of data packets. The wireless communication device determines a transmission configuration for at least the first data packet and a second data packet based on whether a threshold occupancy of the memory is satisfied. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
