Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment may transmit, to a serving network entity, a message requesting a quantity of transmission layers scheduled to be used by one or more neighbor network entities for communication within a communication resource. In response, the user equipment may receive, from the serving network entity, an indication of the quantity of transmission layers scheduled to be used by one or more neighbor network entities for communication within the communication resource. The user equipment may apply the quantity of transmission layers for the communication resource to a rank-aware interference rejection algorithm and may use the rank-aware interference rejection algorithm to improve a noise covariance matrix estimation. When receiving a downlink message, from the serving network entity via the communication resource, the improved noise covariance matrix estimation may be used to mitigate interference at the communication resource.

Abstract: Various aspects are described herein for frequency dependent residual sideband (FDRSB) cancellation. A network node may measure an FDRSB distortion and may calculate a thermal noise based at least in part on the FDRSB distortion and a received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The network node may identify, based at least in part on the thermal noise, the FDRSB, and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), whether to enable or disable FDRSB cancellation at a user equipment (UE). The network node may transmit an FDRSB cancellation message that indicates for the UE to enable FDRSB cancellation or that indicates for the UE to disable FDRSB cancellation, and the UE may selectively perform FDRSB cancellation based at least in part on the FDRSB cancellation message. This may reduce UE processing resources, UE energy consumption, and latency at a demodulator of the UE.

Abstract: A first wireless communication device receives spur measurement information associated with one or more frequency domain spurs in a transmission signal spectrum of a second wireless communication device. The spur measurement information indicates a baseband frequency and an expected power of each of the one or more frequency domain spurs. The first wireless communication device receives one or more signals from the second wireless communication device and processes the one or more signals in accordance with the spur measurement information to compensate the one or more signals for the one or more frequency domain spurs in the transmission signal spectrum of the second wireless communication device. In some implementations, the first wireless communication device receives the spur measurement information in association with transmitting spur suppression capability information that indicates a capability of the first wireless device to estimate and correct frequency domain spurs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described that support a report message for indicating non-linearity cancelation capability. A user equipment (UE) may receive one or more references signals from a network entity, where the reference signals are associated with a downlink resource allocation. The UE may measure a link quality metric for the reference signals. The UE may transmit a report message that includes at least a parameter indicating a non-linearity threshold associated with a capability of the UE to process non-linearity of downlink signals, where the parameter is based on the link quality metric and one or more characteristics of the downlink resource allocation. The network entity may receive the report message and transmit one or more downlink messages in accordance with the downlink resource allocation and based on the parameter.

In some examples, the described techniques can be used to improve latency and reduce power consumption of a DPoD process performed by the network node. For example, in association with identifying the one or more kernels for the subset of candidate kernels, the network node may consume a reduced amount of power and may identify the one or more kernels with reduced latency, when compared with testing each candidate kernel. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may conserve power resources by using PAs of the UE with reduced power (with an increased NL region) in association with the improved latency of the DPoD process performed by the network node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A second wireless device may perform an enhanced non-linearity correction procedure. For example, the second wireless device may transmit, to a first wireless device, a capability report and, additionally, or alternatively, a request for a statistical attribute report associated with a power amplifier (PA) of the first wireless device. The statistical attribute report may include one or more statistical attributes associated with one or more PA coefficients for the PA. The second wireless device may receive, in response to the request, the statistical attribute report and a data signal based on the one or more PA coefficients for the PA from the first wireless device. The second wireless device may perform, based on the statistical attribute report and the data signal, an enhanced non-linearity correction procedure on the data signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating a capability of the UE to estimate a frequency domain imbalance between an in-phase portion of a transmission chain of a network entity and a quadrature-phase portion of the transmission chain of the network entity. The UE may receive, based on the capability message, an indication of a coherence bandwidth associated with the frequency domain imbalance. The coherence bandwidth may indicate a quantity of subcarriers (SCs) over which a characteristic of the frequency domain imbalance (e.g., a change in amplitude of the frequency domain imbalance) satisfies a threshold. The UE may perform an estimation of the frequency domain imbalance based on the coherence bandwidth. In some examples, the UE may receive downlink signals from a network entity and may perform a correction of the downlink signals based on the estimation.
