Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition based on Al and Ce in the form of oxides (composition C1); or based on Al, Ce and La in the form of oxides (composition C2), with the following proportions: —the proportion of CeO2 is between 3.0 wt % and 35.0 wt %; —the proportion of La2O3 (for composition C2 only) is between 0.1 wt % and 6.0 wt %; —the remainder as Al2O3; exhibiting the following porosity profile: —a pore volume in the range of pores with a size of between 5 nm and 100 nm which is between 0.35 and 1.00 mL/g; and—a pore volume in the range of pores with a size of between 100 nm and 1000 nm which is less than or equal to 0.15 mL/g, these pore volumes being determined by means of the mercury porosimetry technique; and the following properties: —a mean size of the crystallites after calcination in air at 1100° C. for 5 hours (denoted D1100° C.-5 h) which is lower than 45.0 nm, preferably lower than 40.0 nm; —a mean size of the crystallites after calcination in air at 900° C. for 2 hours (denoted D900° C.-2 h) which is lower than 25.0 nm, preferably lower than 20.0 nm, even more preferably lower than 15.0 nm; and—an increase ΔD of the mean size of the crystallites lower than 30.0 nm, preferably lower than 25.0 nm, ΔD being calculated with the following formula: ΔD=D1100ºC-2h-D900C-5h; the mean size of the crystallites being obtained by XRD from the diffraction peak [111] of the cubic phase corresponding to cerium oxide, generally present at 2Φ between 28.0 and 30.0.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition containing zirconium, cerium and yttrium oxides with a cerium oxide proportion of between 3% and 15%, and yttrium oxide proportions corresponding to the following conditions: 6% at most if the cerium oxide proportion is between 12% excluded and 15% included; 10% at most if the cerium oxide proportion is between 7% excluded and 12% included; 30% at most if the cerium oxide proportion is between 3% and 7% included; the balance consisting of zirconium oxide. The composition may optionally include an oxide of a rare earth selected from lanthanum, neodymium and praseodymium. The composition can be used for processing the exhaust gases of a vehicle.

Abstract: A mixed oxide, a catalytic composition, a catalytic wall-flow monolith, the use of the mixed oxide and the process of the preparation of the mixed oxide. The mixed oxide comprises zirconium, cerium, lanthanum and optionally at least one rare earth element other than cerium and other than lanthanum. The catalytic composition and the wall-flow monolith comprise the particles of the mixed oxide. The use of the mixed oxide is in the preparation of a coating on a filter. The process of preparation of the mixed oxide consists jet milling. The mixed oxide is a compromise between a calibrated size and a low viscosity when in the form of an aqueous slurry while retaining a high specific surface area and a high pore volume.

Abstract: The composition according to the invention includes a perovskite of the formula LaMO3, where M is at least one element selected from among iron, aluminium or manganese, in the form of particles dispersed on an alumina or aluminium oxyhydroxide substrate, characterized in that after calcination at 700° C. for 4 hours, the perovskite is in the form of a pure crystallographic phase, and in that the size of the perovskite particles does not exceed 15 nm. The composition according to the invention can be used in the field of catalysis.
