摘要: An oxide of sulfur oxygen transfer reagent is provided. A method of producing olefins from hydrocarbons with a concomitant production of water (oxidative dehydrogenation), using the oxide of sulfur oxygen transfer reagent is also provided. The sulfur oxygen transfer reagent can be used as an oxygen transfer reagent, and therefore acts as a non-metal carrier, for oxygen in a redox looping reactor for an oxidative dehydrogenation process such as the conversion of ethane to ethylene. The reduced forms of oxides of sulfur, formed in in this oxidative dehydrogenation process, can be re-oxidized with air and generate useful process heat. Also provided are methods of using the oxide of sulfur oxygen transfer reagent, and an apparatus for effecting the oxidative dehydrogenation of the hydrocarbon feed. Methods of producing the oxide of sulfur oxygen transfer reagent are also provided.

摘要: Provided is a method for converting waste plastic pyrolysis oil into light olefins with a high yield. The method includes: (1) inputting waste plastic pyrolysis oil into a reactor; (2) allowing the waste plastic pyrolysis oil to react in the reactor in the presence of a catalytic cracking catalyst containing a first metal and a second metal to form a product; and (3) recovering light olefins by separating the catalytic cracking catalyst and oil from the product obtained in step (2).

摘要: A nanofibrous catalyst for in the electrolyzer and methods of making the catalyst. The catalysts are composed of highly porous transition metal carbonitrides, metal oxides or perovskites derived from the metal-organic frameworks and integrated into a 3D porous nano-network electrode architecture. The catalysts are low-cost, highly active toward OER, with excellent conductivity yet resistant to the oxidation under high potential operable under both acidic and alkaline environments.

摘要: A method that includes (a) providing a stream containing ethane and oxygen to an ODH reactor; (b) converting a portion of the ethane to ethylene and acetic acid in the ODH reactor to provide a stream containing ethane, ethylene, acetic acid, oxygen and carbon monoxide; (c) separating a portion of the acetic acid from the stream to provide an acetic acid stream and a stream containing ethane, ethylene, oxygen and carbon monoxide; (d) providing the stream to a CO Oxidation Reactor containing a catalyst that includes a group 11 metal to convert carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide and reacting acetylene to produce a stream containing ethane, ethylene and carbon dioxide; and (e) providing a portion of the stream and a portion of the acetic acid stream to a third reactor containing a catalyst that includes a metal selected from group 10 and group 11 metals to produce vinyl acetate.

摘要: A catalyst contains a metal oxide, and a molecular sieve, in a crystal form, having a topological pore structure. The metal oxide is centrally distributed on the surface of the molecular sieve. Grains of the molecular sieve are exposed to at least three families of crystal planes. The family of crystal plane with the largest pore size in topology is occupied by the metal oxide by no more than 30%, preferably no more than 20%, or no more than 10%.

Fabricating a nanocomposite catalyst includes forming nanoscale metal oxide clusters including a first metal on a support, and depositing one or more metal atoms including a second metal on the nanoscale metal oxide clusters. The nanocomposite catalyst is suitable for catalyzing reactions such as CO oxidation, water-gas-shift, reforming of CO2 and methanol, and oxidation of natural gas.

摘要: A method of preparing a calcined hydrogenolysis/hydrogenation catalyst includes mixing a copper-containing material, manganese-containing material, sodium aluminate, and water to obtain an aqueous slurry; contacting the aqueous slurry with a caustic material to form a precipitate in a caustic aqueous slurry; removing the precipitate from the caustic aqueous slurry; and removing residual water from the precipitate to form a dried precipitate; calcining the dried precipitate to form the calcined hydrogenolysis/hydrogenation catalyst exhibiting a Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (“BET”) surface area of about 5 m2/g to about 75 m2/g. The calcined hydrogenolysis/hydrogenation catalyst may include a spinel structure crystallite size of about 15 nm or less. The calcined hydrogenolysis/hydrogenation catalyst may include a tenorite crystallite size of about 20 nm to 30 nm.
