Abstract: An image retrieval system with high retrieval accuracy is provided. The image retrieval system includes a database and a processing portion. The database has a function of storing a plurality of pieces of database image data, and a database tag is linked to each of the plurality of pieces of database image data. The processing portion has a function of obtaining database image feature value data representing a feature value of the database image data for each piece of the database image data. The processing portion has a function of obtaining query image feature value data representing a feature value of the query image data. The processing portion has a function of calculating first similarity of the database image data to the query image data for each piece of the database image data. The processing portion has a function of obtaining a query tag linked to the query image data using some of the database tags.

Abstract: Provided is an input unit and input method for an information terminal for easy input work and avoiding an operating error. Included are a support, an input unit including a laser device on the support, an information terminal including a sensor in a display portion, and a switch connected with or without a wire to at least one of the laser device and the information terminal. A desired region of the display portion is irradiated with laser light output from the input unit. Information is input to the region by operation of the switch in the state where the region is irradiated with laser light.

Abstract: A novel information processing device that is highly convenient is provided. The information processing device includes a selection circuit having a function of supplying image data to a reflective display element, a light-emitting element, or both of them on the basis of input position coordinate data, sensing data about the illuminance of the usage environment, and the image data. An icon with high selection frequency is displayed by both the reflective display element and the light-emitting element on the basis of icon coordinate data and the input position coordinate data, so that the icon can be displayed brightly with improved visibility.
