Abstract: Provided is an optical-electrical composite cable in which, even if the entire optical-electrical composite cable having an optical fiber routed along flexible flat wiring boards is made thin, the optical fiber is not deformed or damaged by a large bending stress. A pair of the flexible flat wiring boards are disposed on a front surface side and a rear surface side of the optical fiber, and a covering member integrates the entirety thereof. Thus, even if the optical-electrical composite cable is made thin, the cable is not bent with a large curvature without deformation of the optical fiber.

Abstract: A contact includes a contact unit in contact with a terminal of a circuit board, to establish electric connection; and a barrel unit to contain the contact unit. The contact unit has a first contact point to come into contact with the terminal in an early stage of a relative slide operation in a connection direction when connected to the circuit board, and to be inclined according to the slide operation; a second contact point to swing toward the circuit board according to the inclination of the first contact point, and to be brought into contact with the terminal after a delay from the contact of the first contact point against the terminal; and a contact fulcrum portion. The barrel unit has protrusion support portions to support the contact fulcrum portion. Contact surfaces between the contact fulcrum portion and the protrusion support portions are each a rolled surface.

Abstract: A composite cable is provided which can connect a power line for feeding drive power to flat panel-shaped electric equipment and a signal line for outputting an electric signal to the electrical equipment at the narrow side surface of the electrical equipment. A flexible printed circuit board constitutes an end connection unit of the flexible composite cable to be connected to the electrical equipment, so that the composite cable can be connected to a side surface of the electrical equipment. Since the lateral width of the flexible printed circuit board is sufficiently long, a power trace is made thin and wide, so that the resistance value per unit length can be reduced and a current carrying capacity that allows the use of high power current can be adopted.

Abstract: Even when a connection board has a large thickness tolerance, a stable connection is achieved by absorbing the tolerance so as to stabilize a contact pressure between the connection board and contacts. In a unit in which electrode groups of a connection board are in pressure contact with elastic contacts formed integrally with an inner housing to connect thereto, the inner housing is provided inside an outer case of a card edge connector through an elastic member to be freely movable forward and backward in a thickness direction of the connection board. The positions of the elastic contacts are adjusted by forward or backward moving the inner housing in accordance with the thickness of the connection board inserted into board insertion slots, so a pressure contact force with the elastic contacts is substantially equalized, irrespective of the size of the thickness of the connection board.
