Abstract:
Method (200) for non-contact processing of fibrous material comprising providing (206) a blank of fibrous material, providing (204) a laser processing equipment, said equipment being configured to exhibit a laser emission substantially at a wavelength falling within a range from 120 about 2 to about 10.4 10.3 microns, and subjecting (210, 210A, 210B) the blank to a laser beam of the laser processing equipment to produce a target design therefrom, incorporating directing the beam to the blank following a selected pattern in accordance with the target design. Arrangement (100) for implementing the method is presented.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a method to produce a packaging material comprising the steps of; treating at least one surface of a paperboard substrate with a binder and with a metal salt, printing at least a part of said treated surface with ink, and applying at least one polymer layer on said printed surface. The packaging material produced in accordance with the invention shows good printability and simultaneously good adhesion of the applied polymer layer.
Abstract:
A textured film is provided which comprises nanocellulose. At least a first surface of the film comprises a patterned, textured surface formed by repeating protruding regions and at least one non-protruding region arranged between said protruding regions. A particular height difference between the protruding and non-protruding regions can give liquid repellent properties. Methods for making the textured film are also provided.
Abstract:
A surface treatment composition comprising nanocellulose—such as microfibrillated cellulose (MFC)—and particles is provided. The particles comprise a supporting material and an active material comprising a salt of a multivalent metal. Various products comprising such a surface treatment composition and methods using said compositions are also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention is in the technical field of packages, specifically surfaces of materials used for packages, and the manufacture thereof. According to the present invention, a micropattern is created on at least surface of a substrate, to obtain a material suitable for manufacturing packages.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polymer product with super- or highly hydrophobic characteristics, preferably in the form of a film. Also methods for the manufacturing of a laminate and a polymer coated paper or board product, respectively, both having said characteristics, are disclosed. The present invention also relates to products obtainable by said methods and uses thereof.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a container for liquid containing food products, manufactured by press forming of a polymer coated fiber based substrate, said container comprising a bottom portion, a sidewall portion and a top flange portion, wherein said press forming has resulted in the formation a plurality of creases extending in a direction from the bottom portion to the top flange portion and further across the top flange portion. The container comprises an indentation pattern (130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190a, 190b, 200) formed at a creased inner surface of said sidewall portion and/or at a creased top surface of said top flange portion, said indentation pattern preventing migration of liquid from a liquid containing food product in the container along said creases. The invention relates also to a method for manufacturing such container.

Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a container (10) comprising a sealing surface (15), wherein the sealing surface (15) is provided with a pattern (30) of ridges (31, 32) and valleys (33), and wherein the sealing surface (15) has a) oleophobic and/or b) oleophilic properties: a) repelling fat such that any fat on the sealing surface (15) has a tendency not to stick to the pattern (30) on the sealing surface thus creating an essentially fat-free sealing surface orb) attracting fat such that any fat on the sealing surface (15) has a tendency to settle down in the valleys (33) of the pattern (30) on the sealing surface, respectively.
