    Abstract: A sputtering target includes a first target part and a second target part both including a metal oxide and adjacent to each other and a target dividing part disposed between a first target part and a second target part. The target dividing part includes a same metal element as a metal element included in a first target part and a second target part. Therefore, size and/or length of the sputtering target may be increased. Thus, efficiency of a manufacturing process of the sputtering target is improved and a manufacturing cost is reduced. In addition, even after a thin film is deposited on a target substrate using the sputtering target, stains caused by sputtering of non-uniform amounts of metal elements by location on the target substrate do not occur on a target substrate. In addition, the uniformity of a thin film deposited on a target substrate is secured by using the sputtering target. Thus, process quality of a sputtering process is improved.

    Abstract: A display panel includes a substrate including a component area, a display area at least partially surrounding the component area, and a first non-display area at least partially surrounding the display area. A first wiring is in the display area and extends in a first direction to face the component area. A second wiring is in the display area and extends in the first direction to face the component area. The second wiring is spaced apart from the first wiring with the component area therebetween. A pixel circuit is connected to one of the first and second wirings and includes at least one thin-film transistor. A display element is connected to the pixel circuit. A cross-sectional area of the first wiring crossing in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction is different from a cross-sectional area of the second wiring crossing in the second direction.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a substrate comprising a main display area, a component area, and a peripheral area; a main pixel electrode at the main display area of the substrate; a main thin-film transistor at the main display area of the substrate and electrically connected to the main pixel electrode; an auxiliary pixel electrode at the component area of the substrate; an auxiliary thin-film transistor at the peripheral area of the substrate; and a connecting wire connected to the auxiliary pixel electrode and including a thin portion having a thickness less than a thickness of the auxiliary pixel electrode, wherein the connecting wire electrically connects the auxiliary thin-film transistor to the auxiliary pixel electrode.

    Abstract: A display device includes a base layer, a pixel disposed on the base layer and including a thin film transistor, and a signal line connected to the pixel. The signal line includes a metal layer and a capping layer disposed on the metal layer, including molybdenum and tantalum. The metal layer has a first light reflectance, and the capping layer has a second light reflectance that is lower than the first light reflectance of the metal layer. The capping layer includes a tip protruding from a sidewall of the metal layer, and the tip protrudes more than a contact point at which the sidewall of the metal layer contacts with the base layer when viewed in a plane. The display device has an improved external light reflection characteristic and an enhanced display quality.

    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate including a display area and a peripheral area outside the display area. A circuit unit is disposed in the display area and includes a semiconductor layer. An insulating layer is on the semiconductor layer. A conductive layer is connected to the semiconductor layer through a contact hole in the insulating layer. The conductive layer includes an underlayer including a metal nitride including a first metal. A display element is disposed on the circuit unit and includes a pixel electrode electrically connected to the conductive layer. A connection layer is disposed under the conductive layer. The connection layer corresponds to the contact hole and includes a second metal.
