Abstract:
According to one or more embodiments, an electronic device may include a memory, a storage, and a processor. The processor may be configured to write a file of an application in the memory in response to a file input request of the application, identify a write pattern of the file at a first time of writing the file of the application in the memory, update the write pattern in the memory, classify the file as one of a hot file and a cold file based on the write pattern of the file at a second time of copying the file of the application from the memory to the storage, and control the processor to: store a classification result of the file together with the file in the storage.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus may include an interface; and a processor configured to obtain, via the interface, information related to values, which occur in time series, of a plurality of factors regarding a prediction object, identify, based on the information related to the values of the plurality of factors, at least one factor, from among the plurality of factors, having a time series change of values that corresponds to a time series change of reference values of the prediction object, and output information related to a predicted value of the prediction object based on the time series change of the values of the at least one factor.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a sensor network, Machine Type Communication (MTC), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication, and technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the above technologies, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services.A communication apparatus performs a method for determining a user's presence in a specific space. In the method, the apparatus receives a first signal from a first sensor and identifies a user access direction, based on the received first signal. Then, the apparatus selects a second sensor, based on the identified user access direction, receives a second signal from the selected second sensor, and determines whether a user enters in the specific space, based on the received second signal.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for controlling indoor devices based on the use histories of the indoor devices are provided. The method includes receiving, when an indoor device operates with a first setting value, a first bodily feeling level selected by a first user among a plurality of bodily feeling levels, determining a second setting value matching a second bodily feeling level among the plurality of bodily feeling levels based on the first bodily feeling level, indoor environment information, and use history information on a control made, by a second user, to homogeneous devices of the indoor device, and controlling the indoor device to operate with the second setting value.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device comprising: a non-volatile memory configured to store at least one file including metadata and user data; a file system configured to manage the at least one file through a log stream; and a file system (FS) manager configured to monitor a free space log included in the log stream corresponding to a first free space of the non-volatile memory, and to transmit a compression request to the file system based on the size of the first free space, displayed on the free space log, having a value less than a first reference value. The file system may be configured to: based on the compression request being received, compress at least a part of the metadata stored in the non-volatile memory based on the log stream, to store same in the first free space; and display a second free space of the non-volatile memory, secured through the compression of the at least a part of the metadata, as a reserved block log in the log stream.
Abstract:
An electronic device include: a display, an input unit, at least one processor, and a memory. The input unit includes at least one biometrics sensor and the memory includes instructions. The processor is configured to perform user authentication based on biometric sensing information obtained through the at least one biometrics sensor in response to an input to the input unit. in response to successfully performing the user authentication, the processor is configured to identify whether a duration of the input exceeds a first threshold time. The processor is configured to perform a first function when the duration is less than or equal to the first threshold time The processor is also configured to perform a second function when the duration exceeds the first threshold time.
Abstract:
An electronic device that enables identification of application of an impact is provided. The electronic device includes a module case including a first structure and a second structure having different deformation quantities, a first impact identification part formed between the first structure and the second structure and configured to generate a deformation according to the difference between the deformation quantities of the first and second structures at the time of applying the impact, and a second impact identification part that enables identification of whether the impact was applied based on the deformation of the first impact identification part.
Abstract:
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a storage device configured to include a first partition, a second partition, and a third partition, and a processor configured to configure the second partition as a first volume and the third partition as a second volume, and attach or detach the second volume to or from a file system to manage a storage space of the storage device.
