According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes an analog-to-digital converter that generates a first digital component and a second digital component from an analog signal. A filter filters the first digital component and the second digital component to substantially align the phase of the first digital component and the phase of the second digital component.

An apparatus has demodulation circuitry to demodulate a radio frequency signal and produce a baseband signal, wherein the radio frequency signal comprises a periodic signal having a predetermined period. An analog-to-digital converter converts the baseband signal into a digital signal that comprises a periodic signal having the predetermined period. A first DC offset adjustment circuit estimates a DC offset contained in the digital signal based on digital samples in a sample period having a length equal to the predetermined period. A second DC offset adjustment circuit estimates the DC offset contained in the digital signal. A selection circuit selects one of the first DC offset adjustment circuit or the second DC offset adjustment circuit to be used to estimate the DC offset contained in the digital signal.

The present invention is aimed to make displays with wide viewing angle possessing higher brightness in transmission mode and to develop more simple method for making such displays. This target is achieved by making in display with multiple pixels deflecting elements of dielectric material and depositing them over the electric conductive coating at least on one of the substrates the space between which is occupied by liquid crystal. Dielectric deflecting elements may be displaced along the perimeter of the pix as well as across its area. After applying electric voltage to the electrodes at the opposite substrates at the interface LC-dielectric deflecting dement distortions of the electric field arise with the component of electric field parallel to substrates.

In a method for detecting a synchronization field in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal, a plurality of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) values corresponding to the OFDM signal are generated. A plurality of magnitude or power values corresponding to the plurality of DFT values is determined. It is determined whether the plurality of magnitude or power values corresponds to a pattern of magnitude or power values. An indication that the synchronization field is detected in the OFDM signal is generated based on whether it is determined that the plurality of magnitude or power values correspond to the pattern of magnitude or power values.

The programmable amplifier is configured to amplify an input signal to generate an amplified signal. The power amplifier is configured to output a transmit signal in response to the amplified signal. The transmit signal has a transmit power. The power detector is configured to generate a power measurement in response to the transmit power. The calibration module is configured to implement a plurality of feedback loops to adjust a gain of the programmable amplifier in response to a difference between the power measurement and a desired transmit power. The calibration module is configured to select one of the plurality of feedback loops in response to the desired transmit power.
