摘要： A speaker recognition system for recognizing a speaker from an input voice using a neural network, in which a feature quantity extracted from the input voice is timewise averaged to create an input pattern to the neural network. The averaging technique is such that the input voice is equally divided timewise into a plurality of blocks in a simple manner and that such feature quantity is averaged every block. The feature quantity includes a frequency characteristic, pitch frequency, linear prediction coefficient, and partial self-correlation (PARCOR) coefficient of the voice.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device with which response characteristics are able to be easily improved without using major equipment is provided. The method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes steps of forming a first alignment film 22 including a polymer compound having a crosslinkable functional group as a side chain on one substrate of a pair of substrates 20 and 30; forming a second alignment film 32 on the other substrate of the pair of substrates 20 and 30; arranging the pair of substrates 20 and 30 so that the first alignment film 22 and the second alignment film 32 are opposed to each other, and sealing a liquid crystal layer 40 containing a liquid crystal molecule 41 having negative dielectric constant anisotropy between the first alignment film 22 and the second alignment film 32; and bridging the polymer compound to give pretilt to the liquid crystal molecule 41 after sealing the liquid crystal layer 40.

摘要： In an electride C12A7 provided by replacing free oxygen in 12CaO.7Al2O3 with electrons, a material having metallic electroconductivity and an electric conductivity of more than 5×102 S/cm at room temperature could not have been produced without difficulties. An electride 12CaO.7Al2O3, which has metallic electroconductivity and has an electric conductivity of more than 5×102 S/cm at room temperature, can be produced by heat-treating titanium metal vapor and 12CaO.7Al2O3 single crystal, sinter, or thin film at a temperature above 600° C. and below 1,450° C. for less than 240 hours. Further, thermoelectric field electron release can also be realized using an electron release chip fabricated from the electride.
