摘要： Provided is an input device that does not allow an input efficiency to be drastically lowered even when the number of pressing a key falls.The input device of the present invention comprises the following: an input key (9) which has predetermined sections on each of which predetermined character-related information and the like are displayed; an association storage unit (71) that associates the predetermined sections of the input key (9) with the predetermined character-related information and the like; a section detection unit (70) that detects which section of the input key (9) is touched by an object; a selection unit (72) that selects, from among the information stored in the association storage unit (71), information that is associated with a section detected by the section detection unit (70), as input information; a press detection unit (74) that detects that the input key (9) is pressed or released from being pressed; and a determination unit (75) that determines the information selected by the selection unit (72) as the input information, when the press detection unit (74) detects that the input key (9) is pressed or released from being pressed.

摘要： The present invention provides an input device (2) in which a user can efficiently find target information.The input device (2) includes: an operation unit (8) which is operated by the user; a movement sensing unit which senses a physical amount related to a movement of an object in contact with a surface of the operation unit (8), or a physical amount related to a movement of the operation unit (8); a pressing sensing unit which senses that the surface of the operation unit (8) is pressed; an information set storage unit which stores a plurality of information sets constituting a hierarchical structure with at least three layers; a selection unit which selects unit information from among the information sets, depending on the physical amount; and a confirmation unit which, when it is sensed that the operation unit (8) is pressed or that the pressing on the operation unit (8) is released, confirms the selection of the unit information, wherein when selection of unit information in an information set of an n-th layer is confirmed, the selection unit shifts to a state in which unit information is selected from among an information set of an m-th layer between a highest layer and the n-th layer.

摘要： An input device includes a case, a ball, a magnetic detecting element, a wiring board, and a rocking part. The ball is rotatably accommodated in the case, exposed from an opening of the case, and is embedded with a magnetic substance having a plurality of protrusions or with a plurality of magnets. In a case the magnetic substance is embedded in the ball, a magnet is placed where its magnetism affects the plurality of protrusions. The magnetic detecting element is disposed facing the ball with a certain gap. The switch is mounted on the wiring board. The rocking part is placed between the case and the switch, supporting the case in a swingable manner with respect to the switch. The switch is turned on and off corresponding to a rocking motion of the rocking part. The ball and the magnetic detecting element are attached to the rocking part so that the gap is kept constant with each other when the rocking part rocks.
