    摘要： In an apparatus for providing a multimedia streaming service, a server transmits a Media Presentation Description (MPD) including information about media data to a client, receives a partial request message requesting a part of media data having a range according to a defined range in the MPD, and transmits to the client a segment having the range in response to the partial request message. The segment includes at least one fragment, segment index information indicating the position of the at least one fragment in the segment, and fragment index information indicating the position of each of a plurality of samples included in the at least one fragment.

    摘要： A method of storing 3D image data in a recording medium includes: loading, in a predetermined file type field, image type information indicating either one of a single stereoscopic image or a compound image including a monoscopic image and a stereoscopic image; loading, in a predetermined image configuration information container field, scene descriptor information indicating temporal and spatial relations between a plurality of media objects included in the three-dimensional image, object configuration information indicating attributes of each media object of said plurality of media objects and a configuration relation between encoded streams of the plurality of media objects, configuration information of the encoded streams; loading in an image data container field media data of an image to be stored; and loading, in a meta container field, metadata including information for playing the 3D image data.

    摘要： Disclosed is a method of storing scene comprising a three-dimensional image, which has been generated by converting an image input an apparatus supporting photographing of the three-dimensional image, into a recording medium. The method includes: loading, in a predetermined file type field, image type information indicating one of a single stereoscopic image and a synthetic image including a monoscopic image and a stereoscopic image; loading, in a configurative information container field, scene descriptor information indicating temporal and spatial relations between a plurality of media objects included in the three-dimensional image, object configurative information indicating object attributes of each media object of said plurality of media objects and a configurative relation between encoded streams of each of the media objects of said plurality, configurative information of the encoded streams, first metadata between the plurality of media objects, and second metadata between each media object of the plurality and the encoded stream thereof, and loading, in a media data container field, a bit stream of each media object included in the three-dimensional image, a bit stream for the first metadata, and a bit stream for the second metadata.

    摘要： Disclosed are a distributed video encoding/decoding method and a distributed video encoding/decoding apparatus, which can improve loss resilience and the quality of service. The distributed video encoding method first involves checking the state of a channel, determining a channel coding rate and the size of video data to be transmitted based on the checked state of a channel, determining the number of motion prediction performance steps based on the determined size of video data to be transmitted, encoding the video data to be transmitted by performing motion predictions according to the determined number of motion prediction performance steps, and channel-coding the encoded video data according to the determined channel coding rate. Accordingly, it is possible to improve loss resilience, even without additionally occupying network resources, thereby being capable of reducing the probability of decoding failure.
