Abstract:
A spill containment assembly includes a support structure or grate, and a flexible containment bag disposed beneath, and secured to, the grate. Fluid filled containers are placed on the grate. The bag defines an available containment volume sufficient to retain a quantity of liquid stored within the containers supported by the grate.
Abstract:
An assembly for connecting two adjacent liquid collection basins is provided. The assembly includes a flume for connecting a first liquid collection basin to a second liquid collection basin. The flume comprises a generally rectangular structure having a top section, bottom section and two side sections, with an inward flange along one side of the flume and an outward flange along an opposite side of the flume. The flume is inserted through an opening in a wall of the first collection basin, through an opening in the wall of the second collection basin and affixed to each wall, in some embodiments with the use of a support frame.
Abstract:
The invention organizes various pricing tables and price adjustment tables and various products and purchasing organizations based on “who” (i.e. which purchasing organization) is purchasing “what” (i.e. which product). The invention utilizes a denormalized table to relate the “who” to the “what” using denormalized numbers. The invention further organizes various purchasing organizations and products into hierarchical tables. These hierarchical tables are called organizational groups and product groups. Various price adjustments may be specified for each level of the organizational groups and product groups hierarchies. The price adjustments for a particular purchasing organization are determined by retrieving the price adjustments for that particular purchasing organization as well as the price adjustments for organizational groups above the particular purchasing organization in the organizational groups hierarchy. Likewise, the price adjustments for a particular product are determined by retrieving the price adjustments for that particular product as well as the price adjustments for product groups above the particular product in the product groups hierarchy. The invention sorts the various pricing adjustments applicable to a particular product offered to a particular purchasing group based on several criteria. After the sorting is accomplished the pricing adjustments are applied in sequence to arrive at a final price at which a particular product can be sold to a particular purchasing organization.
Abstract:
An exhaust hood is provided for filtering pollutants from exhaust air. The exhaust hood includes a light assembly and an air blower assembly for generating a stream of air in front of the light assembly.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for cooling fluids entering a closed circuit cooling tower. A triple circuit assembly is used to cool the fluid in the closed loop. The triple circuit assembly design allows a heat transfer tube bundle to maintain a relatively low pressure drop, but without simultaneously lowering thermal performance to a significant degree as compared to traditional double serpentine or QUAD serpentine designs.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for filtering pollutants from exhaust air. The apparatus includes a baffle filter, at least one inlet flow plate, and at least one outlet flow plate. The baffle filter has an inlet-side and an outlet-side, and includes a plurality of baffle channels. The at least one inlet flow plate attaches to the inlet-side of the baffle filter and covers a portion of the plurality of baffle channels. The at least one outlet flow plate attaches to the outlet-side of the baffle filter and covers another portion of the plurality of baffle channels.
Abstract:
Byte-swapping in a buffer memory system utilizes a byte-swapping register to avoid wasteful unused buffer memory spaces that may result from a data transfer of partial word data, i.e., bytes of data less than the number of bytes in a word, to the buffer memory. When a data transfer request, e.g., a write request, requires a transfer of a partial word, the partial request is written to a word in the buffer memory, and is also stored in the byte-swapping register. In a subsequent data transfer request, the partial word stored in the byte-swapping register is combined and concatenated with sufficient bytes of data of the subsequent data transfer request to produce a complete word. The complete word is written in the word in the buffer memory, replacing the previously stored partial word, and thus fills the previously unused buffer memory space.
Abstract:
A composition and method for use in freeing differentially stuck pipes is presented, comprising a hydrocarbon, acetic acid and a surfactant. The composition frees stock pipes quickly, thus reducing down-time during the process of drilling a subterranean well.
Abstract:
An elastic thermoplastic diaphragm for use in a vessel having an inner surface. The vessel includes a liner that has an inner liner surface and first and second ends. A first endcap is secured to the liner first end and a second endcap to the liner second end. The diaphragm is secured to the inner vessel surface and seals along a peripheral edge to the vessel inner surface so as to define a volume inside the vessel. The diaphragm can flex, and thereby increase or decrease the volume.
Abstract:
A call routing system for use with a wireless telephone systems is disclosed. The system, which monitors the subscriber's current physical location, determines the device to which a call should be terminated, and routes the call. The device can be any IP telephone, including a cable television system adapted to IP telephony. The system routes calls without direct subscriber actions, without a second telephone number, regardless of the time of day and day of week. Various options can also apply to a call, determined by subscriber-established preferences, when specified criteria are met, or calls can be limited to/from specified telephone numbers. The system and method uses signaling techniques that will allow routing of the call, along with any authorization or restrictions, to be done remotely from the actual switching for the call. Call events are transmitted to the call routing system while the communications path of the call is held at the switching system awaiting call routing information. The identity of the subscriber is established using existing means that are used to authenticate the user. The wireless phone user does not have to enter any additional codes or identification to obtain access to the call routing system.
