Abstract: The present disclosure provides a clamp mechanism to secure a temperature sensor to a plumbing fixture. The clamp includes a first semicircular portion and a first sensor housing lobe; a second semicircular portion and a second sensor housing lobe; wherein the first and second sensor housing lobes being hingedly coupled together and defining a first bore between the first and second semicircular portions to fit around pipe structures and around a test cock, and wherein the first and second sensor housing lobes defining a second bore between the first and second sensor housing lobes to house a temperature sensor configured to generate temperature sensor data indicative of an ambient temperature around the plumbing fixture.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a fluid detection system that includes a pipe coupling member having a perforated portion having one or more openings formed in the perforated portion, the one or more openings being dimensioned to allow fluid to pass through the perforated portion from an interior surface of the pipe coupling member; a sensor ring disposed about the perforated portion; and a sensor controller configured to detect a capacitance within of the sensor ring and to provide a detection signal indicative of a detected capacitance of fluid flowing through the one or more openings and contacting the sensor ring.

Abstract: A relief valve provides pressure relief when a fluid line exceeds a predetermined pressure. The valve includes a body which defines a cavity between inlet and outlet flowpaths. The valve includes a lever arm, which pivots around a pivot point as the valve changes between open and closed positions. A plunger assembly is disposed in the cavity and seals the cavity from the inlet and outlet flowpaths in the closed position. Fluid pressure from the inlet flow path causes the plunger assembly to contact the lever arm to urge the lever arm to rotate. The lever arm engages a spring at a further distance from the pivot point than the plunger assembly, the spring resisting pivoting of the lever arm and urging the valve to remain in the closed position unless a predetermined pressure is exceeded.

Abstract: Fluid detection systems and methods using the same are disclosed. In embodiments the fluid detection systems include a sensor module and an electronics module. The sensor module includes a sensor housing that includes a liquid flow path and a sensor element disposed around at least part of the liquid flow path. The sensor element can detect a capacitance of the liquid flow path and provide a sensor signal to a controller in the electronics module. The electronics module can determine a detected capacitance in the liquid flow path based at least in part on the sensor signal, and can determine whether a wet event has occurred based on a comparison of the detected capacitance to a threshold capacitance. Methods using the fluid detection systems and fluid supply systems including the fluid detection systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A relief valve has a valve body, a plunger assembly coupled to the valve body for selectively opening and closing the relief valve, and a support member secured to the valve body. A lockout lever is against the support member, forming a vertex. A spring rod is coupled to the lockout lever, and a spring is coupled to the spring rod, providing a bias force against the plunger assembly to normally close the relief valve. In a lockout position, the lockout lever is moved to pivot on the vertex against the support member to further compress the spring, which increases the bias force and, in turn, a cracking pressure of the relief valve.
