    摘要: A fuel injection control system performs fuel cut-off operation intermittently so that engine output torque may not fluctuate at significant level to cause jerking at the transition from fuel injecting state to fuel to fuel cut-off state and at fuel resumption after fuel cut-off. Intermittnetly cutting off the fuel delivery for the engine cylinders, engine output torque drop at the fuel injecting state and fuel cut-off state can be reduced for reducing magnitude of jerking.

    摘要: An apparatus for controlling an internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders and fuel injectors provided to inject fuel in a sequential fashion for the respective cylinders. Fuel injection is made twice from a given fuel injector. The control circuit calculates a first value for the amount of fuel injected from the fuel injector during the first fuel injection and a second value for the amount of fuel injected from the fuel injector during the second fuel injection. During transition of the engine operation, an engine load variation is produced between the times at which the first and second values are calculated. A correction factor is calculated based on the engine load variation with an estimation of a first value to be calculated for the cylinder when the fuel injected during the first and second fuel injections is charged in the cylinder.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling combustion state for an internal combustion engine during engine idling which measures the angular speed of the engine cylinders for a certain interval whenever a predetermined crank angle is reached, and detects a combustion state of a given cylinder in the combustion stroke when the engine is idling according to change in the angular speed. The system (method) also divides the engine cylinders into a plurality of cylinder groups, each group having a pair of engine cylinders, the angular speeds in each pair of engine cylinders (cylinder group) are compared and the ignition timing and/or fuel injection quantity is corrected so that the angular speed of the pair of cylinders (cylinder group) which is higher than that of the other cylinder groups is reduced and, for the pair of cylinders in which the angular speed is slower, corrects the ignition timing and/or fuel injection quantity in the reverse direction to the corrected ignition timing and/or fuel injection quantity by the same quantity so that balance between the angular speeds of the pairs of cylinders is taken, whereby the ignition timing and fuel injection quantity is corrected so that a total sum of the correction quantities for all cylinders in the case of the ignition timing and/or fuel injection quantity always becomes zero.

In some embodiments two basic injection pulses are developed and one is selected to suit the instant induction conditions. In other embodiments, selectively delayed target torque values are used to individually modify the throttle valve control and injection fuel supply amount.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling an ignition timing for an internal combustion engine mounted in a vehicle are disclosed in which a limit value for the ignition timing value is provided so that a difference between a current ignition timing and a previous ignition timing is within the limit value and the limit value is set according to a magnitude of an engine acceleration. For example, when an abrupt engine acceleration occurs, the limit value is set to 15 degrees. When the engine is in a steady state (no abrupt acceleration from an idling condition), the limit value is set to four degrees. Therefore, no vehicle body shock occurs due to the abrupt change in an engine output torque caused by the abrupt change in the ignition timing and a response characteristic of a rise in the engine output torque during the abrupt acceleration can be assured.

    摘要: A fuel injection control system derives a target fuel amount to be introduced into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine in each induction stroke in the engine revolution cycle, according to an engine driving condition for establishing a desired air/fuel ratio of an air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. The target fuel amount is modified with a fuel transferrring characteristics dependent correction value which is derived as the reverse of a fuel transferring characteristic when the injected fuel amount coincides with the fuel amount introduced into the combustion chamber. The fuel injection amount for actual fuel injection is thus derived so that the injected fuel amount coincides with the modified target fuel amount.

    摘要: An apparatus for controlling a multi-cylinder type internal combustion engine including first and second cylinder groups each includinhg at least one cylinder. The apparatus comprises sensors for generating electrical signals indicative of engine operating conditions including engine speed, and a control circuit coupled to the sensors for determining an appropriate value repetitively at uniform intervals. This calculation is made according to the engine operating conditions. A fuel supply device is coupled to the control circuit for supplying fuel to the first and second cylinder groups in an amount corresponding to the calculated value.
