Abstract: Technologies are shown for secure management of a data file secured on a data file management blockchain that involve generating a genesis block for a data file management blockchain that contains a data file to be managed and signing the genesis block to commit the genesis block to the data file management blockchain. One or more transaction data blocks are generated for the data file management blockchain that each include a modification to the data file and the blocks are signed to commit them to the blockchain. In some examples, the modifications describe changes to the data file and the transaction data blocks are traced to the genesis block and a current data file generated by applying the modifications on the transaction data blocks to the data file in a sequence determined by an order of the one or more transaction data blocks in the data file management blockchain.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for authenticating a garment are presented. The authentication system can include a code reader configured to receive an image of a garment. An asymmetrical pattern can be woven in a section of the garment. The code reader can decode weft and warp information from weave lines in the asymmetrical pattern and determine a validation code based on the weft and warp information. Additionally, an authentication system can access, from an authentication database, authentication codes associated with authentic garments. The authentication system can calculate a confidence score based on a comparison of the validation code with one of the authentication codes. Subsequently, a publication system can cause a presentation, on a display of a device, a verification that the garment is authentic when the confidence score is above a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for reading magnetic information by a mobile device are presented. In example embodiments, the mobile device comprises a housing having an integrated surface for swiping a magnetic swipe card and a magnetometer positioned within the housing to produce digital magnetometer output signals. The digital magnetometer output signals represent magnetic information derived from the magnetic swipe card and from the Earth's magnetic fields (or other sources).
