Abstract:
A filter apparatus is for use with a hydraulic machine. The filter apparatus includes a connecting part and a filter cartridge. The connecting part includes a sealing face, which is configured for sealing abutment on the hydraulic machine. An input connector and an output connector are arranged within the sealing face. The filter apparatus further includes a separate retaining part on which the filter cartridge is fixedly received. The connecting part has a pivoting appendage extending along a pivot axis on a side of the connecting part facing away from the sealing face. The retaining part is fluid-tightly adapted to the pivoting appendage such that (i) its pivoting position with respect to the pivot axis is continuously adjustable relative to the connecting part, and (ii) between the retaining part and the pivoting appendage, a first and a second pressure chamber are arranged.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter panel (1) for a drum filter (2) which is used for filtering off solid particles from a liquid. The filter panel (1) comprises a first side (3) being adapted to be attached to a drum (4) of said drum filter (2), a second side (5) being adapted to receive a filter cloth (6), and a plurality of through holes (7) extending from said first side (3) to said second side (5), each hole (7) defining one or more side walls (8). The filter panel (1) is characterized in that at least one of said holes (7) comprises an inclined side wall (8). The invention also relates to a drum filter (2) for filtering liquid.
Abstract:
A filtration array comprising a main raw fluid supply line and a main filtered fluid collecting line, at least one filtration flow path extending between the main raw fluid supply line and the main filtered fluid collecting line; each of the at least one filtration flow path is configured with a filtering assembly comprising a pair of filter units coaxially extending from a common manifold configured on the filtration flow path and is in flow communication with the main raw fluid supply line and the main filtered fluid collecting line, each of the filter units comprising a plurality of parallely disposed filter members.
Abstract:
A filtration device designed for the purpose of recovering filtrate from wastewaters is characterized by a rotor system (2) that is drivable in rotary manner about a horizontal axis (5) in a liquid bath in a receptacle (1), and which serves as the support for multiple assemblies (17) of filter discs, the interior spaces of which are connected to the suction side of a pump (39) via a collection chamber (29). The liquid to be filtered is transported with the aid of a pump (40) that is connected to a plurality of distributor lances (35) that extend parallel to and close to the hollow shaft (21) that supports the rotor system (2) via a line (31) with the interposition of a prefilter (41) that is intended to separate a coarse fraction. The central introduction of the prefiltered liquid distributed evenly over the length of the rotor system (2) via the distributor lances (35) in conjunction with a network (36) of lines designed to introduce air bubbles into the liquid bath and located in the bottom of the receptacle (1) results in a stable operation that also suppresses the formation of deposits and engenders high and consistent filter efficiency.
Abstract:
The application relates to an information transfer system, comprising a receiver (3) and a transmitter (1) for transferring an information signal to the receiver (3) via a transfer medium (2). The information signal comprises main data and sub data. The sub data comprises coded text lines having a plurality of character codes. The receiver is provided with a character display unit (10) for displaying characters corresponding with the character codes in the coded text lines. The number of character display positions is less than the number of character codes in the coded text line. The receiver is provided with display control means (9) for controlling the display of characters corresponding to the character codes included in the coded text line in dependence on serial control codes included in the coded text line. The system enables that significant parts of the text information available in the sub data can be shown on both a full multi-line display units for displaying full text lines and a 1-line display with a relative small number of digits. The invention is very suitable for systems with small sized receivers, such as e.g. portable players and car radios, and receivers wit a display on its remote controller, because there is not much space available for a display unit.
Abstract:
A rotating disc filter for separating coarse phase from a liquid mixture having carrier elements and blocking means that prevent the coarse phase from falling back into the pool of incoming liquid mixture. The capacity of the filter is increased by the prevention of the coarse phase from being filtered again and thereby occupying filter area.
Abstract:
In a method of recovering fibers from white water using a filter including a vat and a rotating filter surface (such as a disc filter), auxiliary pulp is supplied to the area of the vat where the cleaned and rotating filter surface meets the pulp surface in the vat. The consistency difference in the filter vat is adjusted by controlling the auxiliary pulp flow, or by adding cloudy filtrate to the auxiliary pulp prior to the filter vat. The auxiliary pulp is preferably supplied to the filter by using directing nozzles or other supply structures, and essentially evenly over the entire radial width of the filter surface.
Abstract:
Liquor removal from particulate solids such as wet wood pulp is achieved by applying a pneumatic or vapor pressure force through a pad of the wood pulp to compress the solids and to expel liquor from the solids. If air is used as a displacing medium, no wash liquor is added and the solids are simply compressed and some of the liquor is replaced by the gas passing through the suspension. If steam is used, not as a heating medium but as a pressure medium, an increase in liquor removal occurs over and above that removed by gas only due to the condensation of the steam to form a liquid front travelling before the steam through the solid suspension. Hence, in principle, a combination of pressure washing and displacement occurs resulting in a high efficiency in washing. Gas or steam could therefore simply be applied to any conventional operation to increase the washing efficiency both by compression and by displacement.
Abstract:
An apparatus for detaching a filter cake created by a suction dryer from off the filter surface of a filter medium and for an essentially simultaneous treatment of the cake to a form advantageous for further processing. The apparatus comprises a suction dryer (1, 11, 27), a connected filter surface (4, 14, 28) and a basin (2, 13, 27) for the material to be filtered. According to the invention, in the vicinity of the filter surface (4, 14, 28) of the filter medium, there is installed a blowing member (7, 17, 21) with at least one part, the blowing effect whereof can advantageously be extended over the whole width of the filter surface (4, 14, 28) of the filter medium, on which surface the filter cake can be formed.
Abstract:
A rotating drum filter assembly for thickening lime sludge includes a liquid jet distributor for directing liquid jets against a strip of lime sludge filter cake on the ascending side of the drum. The distributor is positioned on the ascending side of the drum and within 45.degree. of a vertical plane tangential to the drum peripheral surface. The liquid jets are directed so as to disperse the strip in a manner such that substantially all of the lime sludge comprising the strip remains on the drum. Cake wash water formed by water distributed from shower heads immediately refills the cleaned strip thereby minimizing loss of vacuum within the hollow drum interior.
