Abstract:
Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of executing a plurality of kinds of binding process in one job. A printer control section transmits, to a finisher, a job for equal to or larger than a total number of copies being a sum of a first number of copies for performing the binding process by using a staple and a second number of copies for performing the binding process without use of the staple. On the finisher side, in accordance with the job, a finisher control section causes a stapler to perform a stapling process for the first number of copies and an eco-stapler to perform an eco-stapling process for the second number of copies.
Abstract:
The present invention is concerning a method for attaching a pair of crimping members in a sheet binding device that binds a sheet bundle by engagement of the pair of crimping members, wherein at least one of the crimping members is attached to a member to which the one of the crimping members is to be attached in a state where the pair of crimping members is in engagement.

Abstract:
A paper binding device comprises: a pair of binding members that has a pair of teeth portions, and presses to bind a bundle of paper sheets; a moving unit that causes one of the pair of binding members to move along with the other of the pair of binding members between a binding position at which the bundle of paper sheets is bound and a retracted position; a separating unit that moves coordinating with movement of the one of the pair of binding members, and when the one of the pair of binding members moves from the binding position to the retracted position, that contacts with the bundle of the paper sheets and causes the bundle of paper sheets to separate from the one of the pair of binding members; and a restricting member that stops the separating unit at a restricting position between the binding position and the retracted position, when the one of the pair of the binding members moves from the binding position to the retracted position.
Abstract:
A method for producing pigments having a specified contour, comprises the steps of creating a pigment layer on a starting substrate; detaching from the starting substrate; and structuring the pigment layer into a plurality of the pigments; characterized by bringing into contact the pigment layer with an intermediate substrate, wherein the pigment layer adheres at least in sections to the intermediate substrate; and separating intermediate substrate and starting substrate.
Abstract:
There is provided a binding member. The binding member includes an upper toothed part having projections and recesses for forming irregularities in a bundle of recording materials; and a lower toothed part having projections and recesses for forming irregularities in the bundle of recording materials and forming a pair with the upper toothed part. In at least one of the upper toothed part and the lower toothed part, in some of parts of inclined surfaces of the toothed part which form the recesses, second curved surfaces having the centers of curvature on the opposite sides of the inclined surfaces to the centers of curvature of first curved surfaces which form the recesses are formed.
Abstract:
A material composite for the production of a stiffening member for lightweight construction by means of thermoforming includes a cellulose-based core made of a wavy paper web or having a honeycomb structure and a kraftliner, which is mechanically connected to the wavy paper web or the honeycomb structure and which in turn comprises a planar paper web. An adhesive layer is disposed between the planar paper web of the kraftliner and the core, which mechanically connects the planar paper web to the core. Furthermore, a stiffening member for lightweight construction is produced on the basis of the material composite and a production method suitable for this purpose.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a binding processing apparatus that prevents easy unbinding regardless of thickness of a sheet bundle to be bound and that lessens influence of damage on sheets. In the present sheet binding processing apparatus, a pair of pressurizing faces for pressure-nipping a sheet bundle are formed to have tooth forms each having a convex shape and a concave shape, the tooth forms being engaged with each other along a predetermined tooth width, and the tooth forms are shaped so that an engagement depth between a tooth top and a tooth root is varied along a tooth width direction toward a sheet end edge.
Abstract:
A method for producing pigments comprises the steps of creating a first layer on a substrate, structuring the first layer and detaching the pigments from the substrate. In the present case, the first layer is a crack-forming layer, so that the first layer is structured by the arising of cracks. Prior to detaching the pigments, a pigment layer is applied onto the first layer structured by the cracks.
Abstract:
A sheet binding device includes a pressurizing unit that pressurizes a sheet bundle to bind the sheet bundle, a pressurizing section that is disposed in the pressurizing unit and configured to be moved from a waiting position separated from the sheet bundle to a pressurizing position at which the pressurizing section pressurizes the sheet bundle, a drive motor that actuates the pressurizing unit, and a controller that controls the drive motor such that the pressurizing section is engaged with the sheet bundle at a predetermined setting velocity.
