摘要： A paper feeding device according to an embodiment includes a paper feeding cassette that holds a plurality of sheets and has a stacking surface with an angle A relative to horizontal that changes depending on a quantity of sheets stacked thereon. A pickup roller feeds the plurality of sheets from the paper feeding cassette. A separation roller separates the plurality of sheets from each other in a case where the plurality of sheets are fed from the paper feeding cassette in an overlapped state. A guide unit has a guide surface which is inclined upwards on a downstream side thereof in the transport direction of the plurality of sheets. A drive unit changed an angle B of the guide surface relative to horizontal. A control device controls the drive unit to change the angle B based on the angle A.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including: a sheet feeding tray configured to support a sheet; and an apparatus main body configured to support the sheet feeding tray so as to be moveable in a direction parallel with a sheet feeding direction, the apparatus main body including a chute configured to guide the sheet that is fed from the sheet feeding tray, wherein the sheet feeding tray includes a guiding member configured to be displaced between an engaging position at which the guiding member engages with the chute and restrains movement of the sheet feeding tray and a separation position at which the guiding member separates from the chute and permits movement of the sheet feeding tray, and wherein the guiding member is configured to guide the sheet that is fed from the sheet feeding tray toward the chute when the guiding member is located at the engaging position.

The sheet number limiter is provided at the pair of edge guides to limit the number of media mountable on the medium mounter. The sheet number limiter has an extension that extends in a feeding direction of the medium such that a distance between the extension and the mounting surface increases downstream.

A document analysis area can receive a document via a first transport path, wherein the document analysis area can include a channel in which the document travels to enable at least one scan component to capture an image of the document. The channel is created by one or more platen. The one or more platen can be movable to increase the width of the channel so as to allow documents to pass through the document analysis area without causing a jam or error for the automated teller machine.
