    摘要: A direct current (DC) electric motor assembly with a closed type overlap stator winding which is commutated with a timed commutating sequence that is capable of generating a stator rotating magnetic field. The coil overlap of the winding and a timed commutation sequence are such that the current in each slot of the stator is additive and when a previous magnetic pole collapses according to a commutation sequence; the energy released by that previous collapsing magnetic field is captured to strengthen the next magnetic field on the commutation sequence schedule. Electrical currents produced by the collapsing magnetic fields flow to low electric potential and add or subtract to the DC current provided by the commutator thus promoting formation of the next magnetic on commutation schedule. When used with a suitable commutator and rotor, the electric motor assembly provides a true brushless high torque speed controlled Real Direct Current (RDC) motor that operates with higher efficiency and higher power density.

    摘要: A commutator has a tabular holding portion defining a thickness direction. A plurality of segments are arranged in one end in the thickness direction of the holding portion in a radial pattern. Each of the segments has a slidable contact surface which is perpendicular to the thickness direction. A feeding brush is brought into slidable contact with the slidable contact surface. A tabular short-circuit unit short-circuits the segments to be set to the same electric potential with each other. The short-circuit unit is arranged parallel to the slidable contact surface. Accordingly, it is possible to enlarge a cross-sectional area which is perpendicular to a current passing direction of the coupling portion while suppressing an enlargement of a dimension in the axial direction of the commutator.

    摘要: Stable electrical connections between coils and a commutator are realized without causing slackening of the coils wound on individual magnetic teeth. An armature of a rotary motor includes an armature core structured splittably into magnetic tooth members which are individually wound by concentrated-winding type coils, and a commutator having the same number of segments as the number of the magnetic tooth members, the individual segments having connecting terminals, wherein an end portion of the coil concentratedly wound on one of the magnetic tooth members is connected generally in a straight line to the connecting terminal of the segment which is located at a position offset in a circumferential direction by a specific angle from the aforementioned one magnetic tooth member, and a conductor line connected to the connecting terminal of the segment is concentratedly wound on another magnetic tooth member adjacent to the aforementioned one magnetic tooth member.

    摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a direct current motor wherein the number of coil-connecting wires that cross the outer surface of a coil end part is reduced. In a direct current motor that is provided with an armature that has a plurality of armature slots and has an armature coil that is wound so as to span two armature slots that are separated by a fixed number of armature slots, a lowermost layer of a coil end part is provided with at least four armature coils that are wound through other armature slots so as not to coincide with the wound armature coil, and a layer above the four armature coils that are wound on the bottommost layer is provided with at least four armature coils that are wound in the same manner as the four armature coils.

The rotor 15 has a shaft 21, a rotor core 22 fitted to the shaft and having laminations forming salient poles or teeth 27. A commutator 23 is fitted to the shaft adjacent one end of the rotor core and windings 24 are wound about the teeth and terminated on segments of the commutator 23. The windings is formed by a number of coils with each coil being wound around a single tooth of the rotor and each tooth supporting a single coil. Brush gear comprising a plurality of brushes 26 in sliding contact with the commutator 23, transfers electrical power to the windings.

The primary incorporates a plurality of parallel conductive segments arranged side-by-side along the direction of secondary movement. As the secondary moves with respect to the primary, commutating strips mounted on the secondary commutate the conductive segments of the primary according to a sequence in which successive groups of the conductive segments are interconnected to form series or parallel excitation windings. The succession of excitation windings serves to induce continuous electromotive force between the secondary. The arrangement is especially suited for a linear motor having non-returning armature windings, but may be in rotary machines as well.

    摘要: A direct current motor which includes a stator for producing a fixed magnetic field and a plurality of armature windings. The motor is caused to rotate by applying current to each winding only while that winding is passing through a zone in a given orientation relative to the stator field. The direction of rotation is changed without changing the direction of the current applied to the windings, by changing the orientation of the zone relative to the stator field, to reverse the direction of the rotational force applied to the armature. Because the current does not reverse through the armature windings, the control circuit can be simple and in a preferred embodiment includes only two gate-turn-off silicon controlled rectifiers, a switch, and a resistor.
