    摘要: The intelligent console method and apparatus of the present invention includes a powerful, intuitive, yet highly flexible means for accessing a multi-media system having multiple multi-media data types. The present intelligent console provides an interactive display of linked multi-media events based on a user's personal taste. The intelligent console includes a graph/data display that can provide several graphical representations of the events that satisfy user queries. The user can access an event simply by selecting the time of interest on the timeline of the graph/data display. Because the system links together all of the multi-media data types associated with a selected event, the intelligent console synchronizes and displays the multiple media data when a user selects the event. Complex queries can be made using the present intelligent console. The user is alerted to the events satisfying the complex queries and if the user chooses, the corresponding and associated multi-media data is displayed.

    摘要: Computer vision systems provide a user a view of a scene whereby an image of the scene may have been augmented with information generated by a computer. Computer vision systems of the present invention include graphical user interfaces which have been discovered to operably interact with geometric constructs of a user environment, objects within a scene, perspective of the scene, image features of a signal which represents the scene, among others. These graphical user interfaces of the invention do not behave as those known because operation of these interfaces depends on properties and features particular to computer vision systems which have position and attitude determining means.

    摘要: A graphical depiction of a carousel containing the icons or windows is provided for convenient presentation and manipulation on a screen of multiple windows, icons or TV broadcasts. These icons or windows are rotated into or out of view as the carousel rotates. Rotation can be controlled by mouse driven cursor, keyboard, application software, etc. Various identifying characteristics can be used to help users search through windows; for example, the title text of each window may be visible when the windows are in the carousel. Color can be an additional identifying characteristic. In instances where a large number of icons are used, this is a means for consolidating them. Multiple carousels can be used to consolidate different kinds of windows, icons, or TV broadcasts.

    摘要: A method of tracking a target object using a computer system. The computer system includes a computer, a display device, and an imaging device. The computer is coupled to the display device and the imaging device. The method comprises the following steps. Capture a first image using the imaging device, the first image corresponds to the target object. Generate a second image from the first image, the second image also corresponds to the target object. Display the second image on the display device. Responsive to receiving a selection signal, the computer system sends control signals to the imaging device to track the target object. The selection signal corresponds to a selection of the second image.

    摘要: The invented computer simulation playback method includes the steps of recording commands entered during use of a simulation, operating the simulation with the recorded commands and allowing new commands to be entered at any point during the step of operating the simulation with the recorded commands. More specifically, the invented method runs a simulation on a computer system that includes a user input device and a visual display. Images are shown on the display and the person using the simulation enters commands through the user input device. The commands affect the images shown on the visual display and are recorded in the sequence that they were entered. The method then runs the simulation again and automatically enters the recorded commands in the same sequence that they were recorded so that substantially the same images that were produced when the commands were initially entered are displayed again. During that step, new commands can be entered. Once certain new commands are entered, the recorded commands are preempted and the user can use the simulation anew from the point where the new commands were entered.
