Abstract: An example of an apparatus to process food material is provided. The apparatus include a transportation platform to be moved from a first location to a second location. The apparatus further includes a sanitization unit mounted at an end of the transportation platform. The sanitization unit is to receive food material, wherein the sanitization unit is to remove contaminants from the food material to provide sanitized food. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a food processor to process the sanitized food. In addition, the apparatus includes a freeze drying system to dehydrate the sanitized food to provide a dry food product.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of producing lactic acid bacteria dual-coated with protein and polysaccharide by using a protein hydrolysate, and lactic acid bacteria having a dual coating, produced by the method. The lactic acid bacteria having a dual coating of protein and polysaccharide, produced according to the present disclosure, have very excellent dry-freezing viability, acid resistance and bile resistance. Accordingly, the lactic acid bacteria having a dual coating of protein and polysaccharide according to the present disclosure will be very useful for the production of fermented milk, processed milk, fermented soy products, processed foods, functional beverages, functional foods, common foods, etc.

Abstract: A system is disclosed which includes a chamber, one or more transmitters configured to emit EM radiation, one or more power harvesters, one or more EM stirrer, and a processing system configured to a) receive a measure of dimensional characteristics of the chamber b) control the one or more EM stirrers, c) evaluate statistical properties of the statistical EM environment, d) set a new criterion for acceptable statistical properties of the statistical EM environment, e) measure a lowest usable frequency of the chamber below which the statistical properties are not acceptable according to a predetermined criterion, f) determine an efficiency profile of the one or more power harvesters versus frequency, g) select an operating frequency that maximizes efficiencies of the one or more power harvesters, h) measure a collective efficiency of the chamber, and i) return to step d if the measured collective efficiency is below a predetermined efficiency threshold.

Abstract: A horizontal axis rotary separation apparatus is deployed in a process for separating resinous trichomes rich in flavoring, aromatic and/or medicinal components produced in plant trichome glands from unwanted plant matter. The process physically separates resin rich beads at the trichome gland head from extraneous plant matter by one or move separation sieves. The sieves are provided in or as a casing over a rigid frame member. The sieves are mesh fabric bags or screen that are easily opened and replenished in a batch operating mode, and are removable from the frame for cleaning and maintenance. Other aspects of the invention include processes that improve process efficiency and speed, and yield products of superior quality.

Abstract: A freeze vacuum drying apparatus includes: a spraying unit; a pipe unit; a heating unit; and a collection unit. The spraying unit sprays a raw material liquid into a vacuum chamber. The pipe unit has a non-linear shape, includes a first opening end and a second opening end, and traps frozen particles via the first opening end, the frozen particles being formed by self-freezing of liquid droplets formed by spraying the raw material liquid into the vacuum chamber. The heating unit heats the frozen particles in the pipe unit for sublimation drying, the frozen particles moving in the pipe unit from the first opening end toward the second opening end by kinetic energy produced during spraying. The collection unit collects dried particles that are formed by sublimation drying of the frozen particles in the pipe unit and released from the second opening end of the pipe unit.
