    摘要： A method and machine for cutting woven wood blinds is disclosed. The disclosed machine can include a cutting mechanism, a support surface adjacent at least one opening in the cutting mechanism housing, a spring loaded clamp which engages the woven wood blind to hold the blind securely for cutting without damaging the blind. The clamp is preferably operated by a hand screw. An indicator such as a collar attached to the hand screw is provided to tell the user when the clamp is positioned to provide the desired pressure. The disclosed method can include positioning a window covering into a cutting machine, positioning a first cutting support member on the window covering, moving a clamp to engage the first cutting support member and cutting the window covering.

    摘要： This invention is directed to guide pads that can be adjusted to a desired distance from the guide arm while mounted on the guide arm. The pad is machined so that the surface is level. The pad is then mounted on the guide arm and leveled using an adjustable level means to achieve the desired distance of the pad from the guide arm. By having the adjustable leveling means to adjust the guide pad, the desired distance of the pad from the guide arm can be can be maintained without shimming and machining the pad after the pad is mounted on the guide arm. With the use of an adjustable leveling means, materials harder than Babbitt can be used and readjusted to the desired distance without machining the pad. If the pad becomes so worn that the leveling means cannot adjust the pad to the desired distance from the guide arm, the pad can be removed and machined. Afterwards the machined pad can be mounted on the guide arm and leveled to the proper distance.

    摘要： For separating off a stack of individual shaped items such as bottle neck labels from a stack of strips each carrying several such items, a punching die is used which has a punching contour which corresponds to the desired shape of the cutting line between the individual shaped items. The cutting line also corresponds to the rear contour of the separate stack of individual shaped items. The shape of the cutting line of the punching die is freely selectable. At its rear edge the punching die is smooth and the separated-off stack of shaped items accommodates any compression of the material forming the stack by means of an offset angle so that the remainder of the strip of shaped items has a smooth and perpendicular cut edge.
