The clamping forceps are partially located inside the housing, and include two clamping legs, which are connected to one another at their base located in the housing and have a mutual pre-tension, and which cause the fixation of an electrode line on their periphery located outside the housing, such that the pushbutton, which is mounted so that it is displaceable, and the clamping forceps, which are mounted so that they are movable, act together with one another in such a manner that an actuation of the pushbutton causes an opening of the fixation in the periphery of the clamping forceps.

    摘要: A cutting apparatus for columnar items such as metal pipes has a base frame that supports a movable cutting blade. At least one blade actuator is disposed between the blade and the frame to drive the blade back and forth between retracted and extended positions. First and second arms are pivotably connected to the frame and moveable between disengaged and engaged positions. An arm actuator is associated with each arm and drives each arm between the disengaged and engaged positions. A segmented collar engages the entire circumference of the columnar item being cut. The blade is supported by the frame and the arms during the cutting process while the collar supports the material of the columnar item adjacent the cut.

An apparatus includes first and second gripping mechanisms each configured for selective actuation between positions for gripping and releasing an object, and a cutting mechanism positioned generally between the first and second gripping mechanisms, and configured to cut the object when gripped on either side by the gripping mechanisms. The system and apparatus can be used to remove feeder pipes of a nuclear reactor power plant.

A jaw for a shearing apparatus includes a raised rail, an enlarged elongate head positioned along the raised rail, and a piercing tip for piercing the scrap material upon movement of the jaw to the closed position. The piercing tip has a slot formed therein for receiving the raised rail and a widened channel formed in the slot for receiving the enlarged elongate head to maintain the engagement of the piercing tip with the second jaw.

Relative movement of the first and second frame elements effects relative movement of the top edge trimming cutter and the bottom edge trimming cutter, relative movement of corresponding first and second blade receiving plates and relative movement of corresponding first and second pressing plates.

    摘要: A device for producing perforations in a flexible rack. With mechanical drive systems a "rack" is a linear element used with a rotary element whereby linear and rotary motions are displaced. The flexible rack processed by this invention consists of a tape having a cross-sectional curvature. It is thin, rigidly straight, resilient and used for "interconverting" (mutually converting or equally displacing) linear and rotary motions. A method is taught for perforating a rack along its length. Perforations are produced whil the rack is bent radially and flattened laterally corresponding to a position with which the rack will be used when "interconverting linear and rotary motions."

    摘要: An overload protection device for the clamping portion of a tube cutoff die set. The overload protection device is used to prevent destructive overload forces in the event a mechanical obstruction prevents the tube clamping die jaws from fully closing in response to the forces applied by a control cam. The overload protector comprises a wedge mounted between rollers. If overload occurs the wedge is squeezed out of position against the operation of a compression spring. After the overload condition is eliminated the wedge is returned to position by the compression spring.
