摘要： An apparatus and process for dividing a nonwoven web into a plurality of ribbons. An assembly of converging ribbons receive and grip the incoming continuous web to create a travel distance differential. One portion of the continuous web is pulled through the assembly of belts at a different velocity than another adjacent portion of the continuous web. Because adjacent portions of the continuous web travel a different distance over a period of time, the orientation of fibers in the web between the two adjacent portions of the web is altered. As the fibers become oriented in the machine direction, the web begins to split into continuous ribbons of desired width.

摘要： A tape dispenser dispenses rolled adhesive tape spirally wound on a hub having an inner cylindrical wall, and an outer cylindrical wall, and a wide “I” cross-section. The dispenser has first and second side members, and a cutter member. Each of the side members has a first major side portion which overlies a roll of adhesive tape within the tape dispenser. The cutter member is mounted between second minor side portions of the side members. A cylindrical axle is formed centrally on the inside surface of the first major side portion of at least one of the side members. There is at least one brake spoke upstanding from the inside surface of that side member, radially extending and spaced away from the cylindrical axle. At least the first side member is flexible in the region of the first major side portion. When the at least first side member is flexed towards the second side member, the at least one brake spoke extends into the annular void on the side of the hub which faces the first side member so as to cause frictional engagement between the at least one brake spoke and at least one of the inner and outer cylindrical walls of the hub. Thus, a braking effect is imparted to the hub so as to preclude unreeling of the spirally wound adhesive tape from the hub.

摘要： A cutter shield of an adhesive tape dispenser comprises a carrying seat and a cover. The carrying seat is provided with two longitudinal holes for fastening the carrying seat over the cutter of the adhesive tape dispenser by bolts which are received in the longitudinal holes. The carrying seat is provided in one side with two upright plates which are provided with two locating holes. The cover is pivoted with the carrying seat and is provided in one side with an arcuate tongue and a curved guard extending therefrom at an angle. The cover is provided in other side with two recesses and a flat portion which is provided in two ends thereof with a projection. The projection is retained in the locating hole of the carrying seat.

摘要： A dispensing apparatus and method are disclosed for dispensing sheet material from at least one roll of the sheet material. Dispensing is transferred from a stub roll to a reserve roll automatically in response to sensing a predetermined quantity of the stub roll. An isolating element is provided to lift the reserve roll out of contact with dispensing rollers during dispensing of sheet material from the stub roll, and a nipping element is provided to nip sheet material of the reserve roll when dispensing is transferred from the stub roll to the reserve roll. A cam controls movement of both the isolating element and the nipping element. Structure is also provided for sensing the diameter of the reserve roll of sheet material and providing an indication when the reserve roll is a predetermined diameter. The dispenser is quiet and capacity efficient.

摘要： A dispenser for dispensing a web from a roll of paper includes a housing and a cover connected thereto to provide access to the housing interior. The dispenser has mechanism for supporting a paper roll and a drive roller and tension roller operatively associated therewith which urges paper from the paper roll into contact with the drive roller for dispensing a length of paper from the paper roll. Actuator mechanism operates the drive roller and extends across substantially the entire housing at the bottom thereof. A roller frame assembly is mounted within the housing and carries the tension roller and a transfer roller. The transfer roller releasably holds the free end of a first paper roll while paper from the second roll is dispensed upon actuation of the actuator to rotate the drive roller. Because the paper from a second paper roll is positioned between the drive roller and the transfer roller, rotation of the transfer roller during rotation of the drive roller is prevented until the second paper roll is exhausted.

A cover is provided with a row of continuous teeth corresponding to the second longitudinal edge of the long opening and a shaft corresponding to the first longitudinal edge of the long opening. The shaft is fitted in the slide channel to enable the cover to pivotally turn about the shaft between a lifted position for a user to pull out via the long opening a length of air-permeable tape disposed in the cylindrical body.

A game is provided where a jackpot is built up using the detection of each ticket sold. The mechanism is simplified by using a separator member and transport drive structures that span a plurality of different channels or bins of a multi-channel dispenser. This provides a very compact, simple, secure and low-cost mechanism that is used both in stand-alone ticket vending machines, and in counter-top attended dispensers.

The dispenser includes a single-piece housing comprising a first side wall and a second side wall extended from a central wall substantially parallel to each other. Each of the side walls is provided with roll mounting flaps cut out of the side walls opposite to each other and folded inwardly therefrom. The mounting flaps are axially aligned with each other and are adapted for rotatably supporting the tape roll within the frame. The housing is made of any appropriate stiff, but foldable material, such as a sheet of plastic or metal. The two side walls of the housing are retained in a substantially parallel position by a retaining member extending between the side walls within the core of the tape roll. A serrated cutting edge may be provided on an outer edge of the central wall.

摘要： A paperboard carton for storing and dispensing a roll of web material, such as plastic film, foil, wax paper, etc. has a plastic (e.g. polystyrene) cutting blade that is adhered to an inside front lip of the paperboard carton lid. The polystyrene cutting blade preferably has a thickness of about {fraction (20/1000)} of an inch, and preferably contains aggressive teeth at the ends of its serrated edge to help initiate tearing of the web material. The aggressive teeth are larger in size than the remaining teeth of the serrated edge. Use of the polystyrene cutting blade allows for increased production rates without compromising performance.
