摘要: A vehicle body including side is provided. The vehicle body includes left and right side frames that extend in a vehicle body forward-rearward direction and support a collision load acting from the front or the rear, and a coupling member that is joined to open ends of the side frames and restricts displacement between the open ends in a direction in which the open ends are away from each other. The side frame has a plurality of low-strength sections disposed with high-strength sections interposed therebetween in the vehicle body forward-rearward direction and having a lower strength than the high-strength sections in the vehicle body forward-rearward direction. The low-strength section closer to the open end has a lower strength in the forward-rearward direction.

摘要: A magnetic collision damping device for vehicles is disclosed, in one embodiment of which a first trough 3 and a second trough 4 are slidably connected to a vehicle frame, and electromagnets 7, 8 whose like poles are arranged to face each other are fixed inside the first trough 3 and the second trough 4. This invention can prevent the electromagnets from being damaged when being subject to an impact, and can demonstrate its collision damping function regardless of whether a collision force comes from a vehicle front or a vehicle rear. All electromagnets are arranged close to the vehicle rear, effectively protecting the safety of passengers.

摘要: A frame assembly for a vehicle can include a main frame assembly defining a passenger compartment, and a front frame assembly. The front frame assembly can include a pair of front frame members extending upwardly, and a pair of intermediate frame members spaced apart from each other in the transverse direction of the vehicle. Each of the intermediate frame members can be connected to a respective one of the front frame members. Each of the intermediate frame members also can be connected to a cross member of the main frame assembly, and can include a bend such that each of the intermediate frame members buckles in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle if a load or kinetic energy applied to each of the intermediate frame members in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined threshold.
