    摘要: This invention provides a process for preparing sodium ferric gluconate complex in sucrose using the following steps: a) combining a ferric salt solution with a weak alkali chosen from the group consisting of alkaline earth metal and ammonium salts, such as sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, lithium carbonate, potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, ammonium carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate and mixtures thereof, to form the ferric oxyhydroxide; b) combining ferric oxyhydroxide and sodium gluconate in solution to yield the sodium ferric gluconate complex; c) isolating the sodium ferric gluconate complex; and d) combining the sodium ferric gluconate with sucrose in solution to yield the desired sodium ferric gluconate complex in sucrose.

    摘要: The present invention provides a process for the preparation of a chelant or chelating agent complex of the formula L•B•M. L is an amino acid derivative including two optically active amino acids are linked via a (CH2)n group, wherein the (CH2)n group is attached to a nitrogen of each optically active amino acid, the optically active amino acid may be the same or different; and wherein n is an integer from 1 to 10; B is a base; and M is a metal. The process comprises the steps of (i) providing a reaction mixture comprising L and B and having a pH of less than 7.5; (ii) contacting the reaction mixture with M to provide a first complex mixture; and (iii) contacting the first complex mixture with a further amount of B to provide a second complex mixture. The second complex mixture can further be sequentially contacted with further amounts of M and further amounts of B. Alternatively, the second complex mixture can be heated.

The process comprises the steps of a) reacting calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, and a transition metal-containing material in an aqueous medium, optionally in the presence of an oxidant to convert any transition metal present in a divalent form to its trivalent form; and b) separating the formed mixed-metal chelate by filtration or evaporation.     摘要: A process for producing ferrous picrate and a fuel additive containing ferrous picrate involving placing wire composed of an alloy of iron in any solution of picric acid in a solvent that is known in the art for reacting with iron to produce ferrous picrate. The wire can be suspended in the solution or placed upon the bottom of a reaction vessel that holds the solution. Preferably the wire is loosely coiled, at least when placed upon the bottom of a reaction vessel. Also preferably, after a concentrated fuel additive has been prepared, to the concentrate is added so much of a pre-mix solution produced by the steps of (a) dissolving picric acid in the same kind of solvent that was utilized to produce the solution into which the steel wool was placed and (b) removing water from the precursor to the pre-mix solution thus produced and so much of the same kind of alcohol that was utilized to produce the solution into which the steel wool was placed that the final product produced thereby contains approximately 1.9 percent free picric acid and 15 to 16 percent of the alcohol.
