Abstract:
A regulator has a regulation unit (422, 622) with an adjustment unit (624), having a drive unit (414, 620) configured for adjusting the adjustment unit (624), and having a lockable and unlockable force store (412, 610-616). The regulation unit (422, 622) and the adjustment unit (624) are in contact with one another via the force store (412, 610-616), and the regulation unit (422, 622) can, in the case of a locked and charged force store (412, 610-616), be displaced by the adjustment unit (624) within an adjustment range (630) so as to drive the force store (412, 610-616). In the event of unlocking the charged force store (412, 610), a discharge of the force store (412, 610-616) causes the regulation unit (422, 622) to be moved automatically into a safety position independently of the adjustment unit (624).
Abstract:
A lining drum which has a tubular body having open ends, an inlet for compressed air and an outlet for liner is disclosed. The lining drum has end pieces removably attached to the tubular body for closing the open ends of the tubular body, a rotatable shaft inside the tubular body and a crank for rotating the shaft. The end piece has a spring-loaded flange mounting, wherein bias of springs pushes the flange mounting towards the tubular body and a closed position of the flange mounting, and air pressure inside the lining drum pushes the flange mounting away from the tubular body and towards an open position of the flange mounting.
Abstract:
Method and system for converting a toner cartridge printer to a metallic or light toner printer. The method may comprise the steps: providing a printer having one or more toner cartridges; removing at least one of the one or more toner cartridges; disassembling the one or more removed toner cartridges; cleaning the one or more removed toner cartridges; filling the one or more removed toner cartridges with a white, clear, metallic or light toner; and installing the one or more removed white, clear, metallic or light toner cartridges into the printer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for applying a label to an article travelling along an article path, said label being received on a movable surface at an input location to be retained against said surface whilst being glued and advanced to an output location, at which the label is transferred to the article; the article being rotated with a tangential speed about an axis whilst travelling at a speed along the path including providing at least three portions of surface with independent and controllable vacuum means for retaining the label, including curtailing the application of vacuum means at the first portion of the surface upon the first portion reaching the output location and interrupting the application of vacuum means at the third portion of the surface, with the trailing edge of the label being retained at the second portion of the surface.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a multilayer coating for decoration of surfaces includes the successive steps of providing a supporting substrate, applying a protective layer on that substrate, applying at least one first decorative layer on the protective layer to transfer a first ornamental patter thereto, depositing at least one adhesive layer on the first decorative layer to form a multilayer coating configured to be applied on a surface to be decorated. The substrate is a film of a polymeric material configured to be removed from the protective layer after application of the multilayer coating on the surface to be decorated. A system of manufacturing a multilayer coating for the decoration of surfaces.
Abstract:
A labeling unit having a label holder for at least one first size or format of label, at least one transfer-plate shaft which is at least drivable in rotation and which carries at least one transfer plate for the first size or format of label, a gripper cylinder at least able to be driven in rotation which carries controlled grippers set at least to the first size or format of label, and having pressure-applying members on the gripper cylinder which are associated with the grippers. The label holder, the transfer plate and the gripper cylinder are three main sub-assemblies of the labeling unit which define a transfer path for labels, which co-operate with one another at positions for co-operation and which can be converted for a change of size or format.
Abstract:
A substrate bonding apparatus and method are provided. The substrate bonding apparatus may include a first support member that receives a first substrate, a second support member that receives a second substrate opposite the first support member, and a support pin located at the outside of the first substrate fixed to the first support member. The support pin may be connected to the first support member, and a distance adjustment device may move the support pin upward or downward to adjust the distance between the first support member and the second support member.
Abstract:
A vacuum bag is applied around a fuselage barrel made of composite material to be polymerized, formed by lamination on the outer surface of a mandrel having the form of a solid of rotation about a longitudinal axis. A bag material in the form of a sheet having a transverse width corresponding to the longitudinal length of the fuselage barrel is provided alongside the mandrel. A first transverse end portion of the sheet is fastened or sealed on the outer surface of the barrel or the mandrel. Then the mandrel is rotated around the axis, so as to wrap the sheet about the barrel. While the mandrel rotates, the opposite axial end edges of the sheet are sealed on the mandrel. Finally, a second transverse end portion of the sheet is sealed on the outer surface of the barrel or the mandrel.
Abstract:
A composite wood product and its method of manufacture. The wood product comprises aligned, substantially straight wood strands cut from veneer, disposed side by side lengthwise in substantially parallel relationship with adhesive bonding together the strands. The product is produced in a billet having a width in the range of about 3 ft. to 12 ft. and with a thickness in the range of about 1.1 inches to 2 inches. The strand ends are distributed in a specific pattern that approximates maximizing the minimum distance between strand ends. The wide sides of the billet are coated with a dark colored resin. The billet may be sawn lengthwise into sizes used for joists and rafters. Such a sawn product (e.g. 1.5″ by 9.25″) has the wide sides a dark resin color and the narrow sawn sides mostly wood colored. The strands are parallel to its length.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for application of sealing or shim material to surfaces is provided. The materials are used in particular in the construction of aircraft and other vehicles. The materials are typically interposed in a joint between a vehicle structural element and a vehicle external surface forming component. The sealing materials are adherent. The apparatus of the invention includes a moveable arm carrying an end member having a curved surface. The arm applies the curves surface to a web of the sealing material so that the sealing material becomes wrapped around the curved surface. The arm is then moved to the location of the joint and the web of sealing or shim material is applied to the joint surface by causing or allowing the end member to roll of said surface.
