摘要: Provided are adhesive articles that include a barrier layer that is substantially impermeable to oxygen gas at ambient temperature and pressure along with a heat-bondable layer, which could be a discrete layer adjacent to the barrier layer or integral with the barrier layer. The adhesive article further includes a backing extending across and coupled to the barrier layer and an adhesive layer extending across and coupled to the backing opposite the barrier layer. The barrier layer reduces or eliminates migration of plasticizers from the bonded seal into the adhesive article, limiting deterioration of tape performance over time.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a floor panel that is processed on roll equipment, whereby a decorative design consisting of elongated striations is printed with the elongated striations oriented in an across-machine direction. The decorative design is printed on a print layer and is subsequently laminated to a substrate layer. The laminated flooring material is then cut such that the elongate sides of the panels are cut in the across machine direction. This results in a floor panel with greater dimensional stability on the elongate side.

摘要: In assembling a portion of a microfluidic device by conducting bonding action by contacting faces of opposed bondable materials, one comprising a flexible sheet, the method, while maintaining continual contact of the faces in a region R2 until bonding is completed, of employing repeated make-and-break-contact manufacturing protocol on a region R1 of the contacted faces of the bondable materials, thereby over time neutralizing the tendency for permanent bonds to form in the region R1, thus to enable making and breaking actuated movements of the region R1 of the flexible sheet relative to the portion of the other material that it opposes.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for continuously manufacturing elastic pants (28), wherein a flat web material (1, 16, 19) is continuously conveyed in a longitudinal direction (8) of the web material (1, 16, 19), is shaped into a closed tube (4), and is closed in the longitudinal direction (8). The closed tube (4) forms a first outer layer (9). Elastic threads (10) in the form of a tubular reinforcement are then wound around the first outer layer (9) in the conveying direction (8) in such a way that the elastic threads (10) are taut when the outer layer (9) has a convex shape. A second outer layer (15) is then continuously applied to the elastic threads (10) in the conveying direction (8) and is joined to the elastic threads (10) and/or the first outer layer (9). The first outer layer (9), the elastic threads (10) and the second outer layer (15) form an elastic pants web material (21). Further down in the conveying direction (8), the pants web material (21) is closed along a joining section (29) in regular intervals such that the joining section (29) forms two approximately equally large opening sections that lie opposite each other in the transverse direction. Further down in the conveying direction (8), the pants web material (21) is cut at a distance from the joining section (29) such that a pair of elastic pants (28) is formed.
