摘要: An engine system includes three communicating fluid vessels that each contain a fluid. A first interconnecting fluid conduit containing the fluid rotatably couples the second fluid vessel to the first fluid vessel and acts as a lever. A second interconnecting fluid conduit containing the fluid rotatably couples the third fluid vessel to the first fluid vessel and acts as another lever. By increasing the fluid column heights in the communicating fluid vessels, torque is applied to the levers to cause the second and third fluid vessels to revolve around the first fluid vessel.

摘要: A multi-fuel microgrid class generator system includes a heat regenerative steam engine that provides a versatile power source having a clean burn using liquid fuel or biomass for generating electricity. The generator system is also capable of using wind energy and/or solar energy that is converted to heat and stored in a thermal storage unit using a heat exchange medium, such as carbon/graphite. The heat regenerative steam engine uses these various power sources to generate up to 1 megawatt of clean and cost-effective electricity.

摘要: An engine system of an aircraft includes an energy storage system, a gas turbine engine, and a controller. The gas turbine engine includes a low spool, a high spool, a low-spool generator operably coupled to the low spool, and a high-spool electric motor operably coupled to the high spool. The controller is configured to detect a braking condition of the aircraft, transfer power from the low-spool generator to the energy storage system based on the storage capacity state of the energy storage system, and transfer power to the high spool through the high-spool electric motor to support combustion in the gas turbine engine while a rotational speed of the low spool is reduced responsive to the low-spool generator extracting energy from the low spool.

摘要: An electricity generation and accumulation system, comprising a tank (9) for air or gas at stabilized pressure, provided with a duct (11) for feeding said pressurized air or gas to a plurality of pressurized auxiliary tanks (12a, 12b, 12c), the first of which is filled with a liquid. The system of the invention is provided with a plurality of water turbines (18a, 18b, 18c) calibrated according to the pressure inside the respective auxiliary tanks (12a, 12b, 12c) with which they are associated.
Compared to the prior art systems for accumulation and generation of electricity, the system according to the invention offers the important advantage of increasing the efficiency in the production of electricity and of including a device equipped with a control panel (3b) and a self-regulating electrical system that will supply the system with overproduction waste useful for transforming the same into another form of energy that can be reused during periods of underproduction or for other purposes, provided with an exchange meter and remote control (for example, control managed by the grid operator or others). The overproduction waste transformed into another form can be reused for the production of hydrogen (transformation of electricity into chemical energy, hydrogen, or other), increasing the efficiency thereof.-

摘要: A turbomachinery plant is conceived to maximize the power generated by an electrical reversible machine when works as a generator, by reducing the power absorbed by a compressor connected to the electrical reversible machine. The compressor is connected to an antisurge circuit included in the turbomachinery plant, as well as to a suction unit by a first line and to a gas collection unit by a second line and the turbomachinery plant comprises a gas depressurizing compressor so that, when in use, an amount of gas sucked by the gas depressurizing compressor moves from the antisurge circuit to the gas depressurizing compressor and the compressor rotates encountering less resistance and absorbing less power and the power generated by the electrical reversible machine is maximized.

摘要: An electric generator includes a turbine wheel configured to receive process gas and rotate in response to expansion of the process gas flowing into an inlet of the turbine wheel. A rotor is coupled to the turbine wheel and can rotate with the turbine wheel in a stator. The electric generator generates a current upon rotation of the rotor within the stator. A power electronics system is electrically connected to an electrical output of the electric generator and receives alternating current from the electric generator. A fast stop valve resides proximate and upstream from an inlet conduit of the electric generator. The fast stop valve can quickly shut upon detection of a fault condition at the power electronics or the grid, to prevent an overspeed of the rotor.
