摘要: An embodiment of an electric heating element is disclosed, including an electrically resistive inner heating element, an electrically resistive outer heating element, and a thermostat positioned underneath a centrally-positioned medallion and along a cold leg of the inner heating element. The thermostat is configured to selectively allow electrical current to be delivered to the inner heating element while maximum electrical current, for example, continues to be provided to the outer heating element. The thermostat cycles the electrical current on and off when detecting maximum and minimum desired temperatures radiated from the electric heating element. The inner heating element has a pair of cold legs that extend parallel to a pair of cold legs of the outer heating element, some or all of which may be supported by a terminal bracket.

摘要: A temperature-dependent switch has a first and a second stationary counter contact and a temperature-dependent switching mechanism with a contact member. The switching mechanism, in its first switching position, presses the contact member against the first counter contact and, in this case, produces an electrically conducting connection between the two counter contacts via the contact member. The switching mechanism, in its second switching position, holds the contact member at a spacing from the first counter contact. A closing lock is provided, which prevents the switch, once opened, from closing again. The closing lock locks the temperature-dependent switching mechanism permanently in the second switching position thereof in a mechanical manner.

摘要: A circuit protection device includes a base assembly, a spring on top of the base, a conductive terminal that fits over the base and spring, and a cap that first over the base, spring and terminal. The base includes latches on the front side of the base. The conductive terminal includes a first end on the front side of the base and a second end on a rear side of the base that is opposite to the front side. The cap includes a first protrusion extending downward from the cap above one of the latches and a second protrusion extending downward from the cap above the other latch. The circuit protection device also includes a means for activating the circuit protection device after reflow in response to a force applied to the cap in a first direction defined from a top of the cap towards the base.

摘要: A protective switch for protecting a circuit includes an operating element or rocker switch, contact connections projecting from a housing, a contact spring electrically connected to a first contact connection and having a free end covering a second contact connection for making contact. A bimetallic element in the housing runs transversely to a slider longitudinal direction and is electrically connected between the first contact connection and through the contact spring to the second contact connection. A slider slides in the housing and has a contact end bearing against and acting upon the contact spring counter to its restoring force in a contact position. The slider is latched by the operating element in a turned-on position. The bimetallic element is coupled to the slider for thermal tripping and has a first longitudinal section at least partly covering and unlatching the slider upon overcurrent to break contact, and a second longitudinal section.

摘要: A safety switch includes a switch member and a push rod is pivotably connected to an inside of the switch member. A biasing member pushes the push rod toward a stop rod extending from the inside of the switch member. A bi-metallic contact plate has a first end fixed to one of two terminals and a contact portion splits from the contact plate. A first contact point is connected to an underside of the contact portion and a second contact point is connected to the other terminal. A free end of the contact portion is connected with a free first end of a spring member and a second end of the spring member is connected to the contact plate. When overloaded, the contact portion and the spring member move clockwise to cut off the circuit while the push rod does not stop the clockwise movement of the spring member.

摘要: An improved structure of a circuit breaker is provided which comprises a housing, a rocker-switch, a push-shaft, a pull-shaft, a bimetallic strip, and other parts. There are three terminals under the rocker-switch inside the housing. A bimetallic strip embedded in a groove under the pull-shaft makes contact with that pull-shaft through a silver point at one end. The bimetallic strip also makes contact with the push-shaft at the other end using another silver point. Both the pull-shaft and the push-shaft are connected with a curved spring installed inside the V-shaped slot on an adjustment strip. The bimetallic strip, curved spring, and both the pull-shaft and the push-shaft constitute the main control mechanism that provides the circuit breaking action under overloading condition.

摘要: A protection mechanism includes a first member connected to a switch member pivotably connected to an open top of a case so as to lift a bimetallic plate when the switch device is set to an “OFF” status, and a second member that is pivotably connected to an extension board extending form the switch member. The second member is located above the bimetallic plate and pushes the bimetallic plate downward to set the switch device to an “ON” status. The second member can be pivoted counter clockwise when the bimetallic plate is deformed upward and will not stop the deformation of the bimetallic plate.

摘要: A high temperature limit switch is disclosed. The switch includes a resettable temperature responsive mechanism movable between a non-tripped position and a tripped position, a reset member movable between a position of rest and a reset position, a non-movable fixed contact, and a pivotable contact support member including a contact movable with respect to the non-movable fixed contact. The contact support member is configured to prevent the movable contact from engaging the fixed contact while the resettable temperature responsive mechanism is urged from the tripped position to the non-tripped position in response to force applied to the reset member until the reset member is returned toward the position of rest. A method of resetting a high temperature limit switch is also disclosed.

摘要: A thermal switch for breaking an electrical circuit to prevent overheatings described. The thermal switch includes a bimetallic thermocouple in the form of a snap disc and a leaf spring. The leaf spring supports an electrical contact. When the leaf spring is in its stressed position, the electrical contact keeps an electrical circuit closed. When the temperature rises too high, the snap disc snaps in a direction which causes the leaf spring to move into its unstressed position, thereby opening the circuit. When the temperature has decreased, the switch can be reset.

摘要: A push button-actuated overload protective circuit breaker with bimetal cutout comprises a housing between the sidewalls of which two contact segments are held in position, and a push button and a pressure spring associated therewith are guided for longitudinal displacement therebetween. The ends of the contact elements which protrude from the housing are devised as plug-in prongs arranged in parallel with each other. In order to provide a circuit breaker of such small size that it can be plugged into a flat-shape fuse female plug socket, the contact elements are provided in a middle zone thereof, each with a step-like bend the height of which corresponds to about half the height of the interior space in the housing. The bent contact ends then come to rest against the opposite internal surfaces of the housing sidewalls.At one of the contact ends of a first contact element there is fastened a bimetal snap spring with one side thereof and extends transverse to the direction in which the contact elements extend. This bimetal snap spring has a slewable end which overlaps the second contact element and is biassed into contact with the latter when in rest position. The push button is provided at its inner end with a separating wall which is adapted for sliding between the slewable end of the bimetal spring and the contact end of the second contact element when the circuit breaker is released.
