    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for building and reconfiguring audiovisual equipment in a video production system. A wiring cradle may be installed in the video production system and one or more electrical or optical connections may be established between the wiring cradle and another element of the video production system. Electrical connections may be established through the wiring cradle between a video processing component mounted in the wiring cradle and at least one other component of the video production system according to an interconnection configuration for the video production system. The wiring cradle physically secures the wiring cradle to a rack or enclosure. Electrical connection may be established by automatically connecting inputs or outputs based on an interconnection configuration maintained in non-volatile storage provided in the wiring cradle.

    摘要: A system, method, and computer program product for producing a show. In an embodiment, the invention is directed to a production system having a first production path, a second production path, and a control system that causes the first production path to generate a show in a first aspect ratio (4:3), and that causes the second production path to generate the same show in a second aspect ratio (16:9). In another embodiment, the invention is directed to producing a show from live material and from archived material. This aspect of the invention operates by producing a first show comprising a plurality of stories, segmenting the first show, and storing the show segments in an archive. Then, the invention produces a second show using live portions as well as show segments retrieved from the archive. The invention is also directed to a media manager that interacts with a server. In some cases, the server is integrated with the production system. The media manager automatically assigns channels/ports of the server when accessing material stored in the server.

    摘要: A camera includes a lens configured to receive an optical image from two viewing angles. A filter converts the optical image into two orthogonally polarized images, each orthogonally polarized image corresponding to a different one of the viewing angles. An image detector distinguishably detects the two orthogonally polarized images in a single frame. An image processor decodes the two orthogonally polarized images in the single frame into two video signals corresponding to the two viewing angles. A method of imaging includes receiving an optical image from two viewing angles through a single lens, converting the optical image into two orthogonally polarized images, each of the orthogonally polarized images corresponding to a different one of the viewing angles, distinguishably detecting in an image detector the two orthogonally polarized images in a single frame, and decoding in an image processor the two orthogonally polarized images in the single frame into two video signals corresponding to the two viewing angles.

The apparatus or system presents broadcast control options to a user as a plurality of fundamental production elements, the plurality of fundamental production elements comprising at least one of a background an effect, a transition, and a stored clip, wherein the background can be combined with any of the effect, the transition, and the stored clip. The apparatus/system receives a selection from a user of fundamental production elements, and thereafter builds a composited scene by layering the selected production elements. The apparatus may display a preview of the composited scene prior to selection of the composited scene for output.
