摘要: The display device according to the present invention includes: a liquid crystal layer 12 having a first principal face and a second principal face opposing each other; a plurality of electrodes 14a and 14b; a fluorophore layer provided on the first principal face side of the liquid crystal layer; and an illuminator for emitting light for exciting the fluorophore layer toward the second principal face of the liquid crystal layer. When a predetermined voltage is applied, the liquid crystal layer forms an intermediate layer containing liquid crystal molecules which are oriented in a different direction from that of liquid crystal molecules in an anchoring layer near the second principal face, and causes linearly-polarized light which has been transmitted through the anchoring layer near the second principal face to be refracted toward the second principal face in or near the intermediate layer. Displaying is conducted by using light emitted by the fluorophore layer while no voltage is applied across the liquid crystal layer, and black displaying is conducted while a voltage is applied across the liquid crystal layer.

摘要: Provided is a liquid crystal display unit that offers high visibility irrespective of the brightness of the surrounding environment and that achieves a reduction in electric power consumption as well as in cost. The liquid crystal display unit is provided with a liquid crystal layer 6, two substrates 1 and 2 that sandwich the liquid crystal layer 6, and a backlight 50 that sequentially emits light of a plurality of colors. Here, one picture element is composed of three R, G, and B pixels that serve as a reflective region, and a pixel having a transparent layer W that serves as a transmissive region. Configured in this way, in the transmissive region, the light from the backlight 50 passes through the transparent electrode 4, so that a transmissive display is performed; in the reflective region, the light is reflected from the reflective electrode 5, so that a reflective display is performed.

摘要: Since fault detection is not conducted for the address other than the noted address or the expected value other than the noted expected value in the RAM test, generation of a fault can be discriminated easily for the predetermined noted address or noted expected value when a fault is detected. Moreover, since the noted address is set as a single address but as the predetermined address range, when a fault is generated after the test for the relevant address range, the total number of times of test can be controlled by conducting the screening test for the address range where a fault is generated.

摘要: A push-on switch according to the present invention is constructed so that a pressing part faces the top surface of a dome-shaped movable contact, across a given clearance. Such a construction allows the pressing part to be pressed a distance until the pressing part touches the movable contact to be utilized for pre-loading, even if the movable contact has a short operation stroke.
