Abstract:
The present invention relates to a synergistic extract of Palmaria palmata and of jasmine flower heads, obtained after aqueous extraction of Palmaria palmata, in which maceration of the jasmine flower heads is then carried out, the ratio of the dry weight of Palmaria palmata to the dry weight of the flower heads being between 40/60 and 95/5.The present invention also relates to a method for obtaining said synergistic extract and cosmetic compositions comprising said extract as an active agent. The invention finally relates to the cosmetic use of said composition for combating the signs of aging and for improving the elasticity of the skin, by favoring maintenance of the “stem” character of the adult dermal stem cells (SKPs).
Abstract:
A make-up composition is for the skin, is prepared by a process and used in a makeup method. The cosmetic composition is intended for making up the skin. The composition has from 75 to 98% by weight of a powder or a mixture of powders, as well as at least one cosmetically acceptable fatty phase having at least one oil. The composition additionally includes a block copolymer of at least one styrene polymer and of at least one olefin polymer, the olefin being other than styrene, or a mixture of these block copolymers.
Abstract:
A method for protecting the skin against UV rays uses at least two cosmetic skincare and/or make-up compositions, and comprises applying a first layer of a first cosmetic composition comprising an oil phase and, optionally, an aqueous phase, followed by applying, on the first layer, a second layer of a second anhydrous composition comprising at least 70 wt.-% powders selected from among fillers and pigments, and an oil phase. At least one of the two compositions contains at least one UV filter, preferably a liposoluble UV filter. The first composition may be a make-up foundation or skincare base. The second composition may be a loose or compact powder.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for protecting the skin against UV rays, using two cosmetic compositions for protecting against UV rays, the sun protection indices of which are different from each other, this method consisting in applying to the skin, before or during exposure to sunlight, a first composition having a certain sun protection index, and then in applying, during exposure to sunlight, onto the residual deposit of the first composition, the second cosmetic composition having a sun protection index lower than that of the first composition. This method advantageously makes it possible to not reapply the first composition, but to use a second product that is much more pleasant to use, while at the same time obtaining the level of protection afforded by the deposit of the initial first composition. The invention also relates to a sun protection kit comprising a first composition for protecting against UV rays having a sun protection index of greater than or equal to 30, and at least a second cosmetic composition for protecting against UV rays, having a sun protection index of less than or equal to 20, the two compositions being packaged separately.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an additive comprising at least 95 wt. % of a mixture consisting of at least one organic filter filtering UVA, at least one organic filter filtering UVB, and from 1 to 50 wt. % of at least one non-volatile oil that is a solvent for said filters. This composition is particularly useful as an agent for protecting the organoleptic properties of a transparent cosmetic composition, against UV radiation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a colored cosmetic composition for making up eyes, in particular eyelids. One of the aspects of the present invention is a colored cosmetic composition for making up eyes, in particular to eyelids, comprising: (i) at least one polymer which has a Tg of −30° C. or less; (ii) at least one hydrophilic thickener; (iii) at least one pigment; and (iv) water. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention can provide a good feeling during use and appropriate adhesiveness to fake eyelashes, and is stable over time.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising at least one extract from the orchid Dendrobium chrysotoxum as an active agent and at least one cosmetically acceptable excipient. The invention relates to the use in a cosmetic composition of an extract from the orchid Dendrobium chrysotoxum as an active agent for preventing or delaying the appearance of the signs of skin ageing or for slowing or attenuating the effects thereof, or else also for promoting cell or tissue longevity. The invention in particular relates to an orchid extract inhibiting the expression and/or the activity of the mitochondrial protein Smac/DIABLO.
Abstract:
The invention relates to cosmetic compositions comprising a black color subtractive mixture consisting of one blue pigment (ferric ammonium ferrocyanide and/or ultramarine blue), at least one yellow organic pigment and at least one red organic pigment, which are mixed homogeneously, said mixture having a very dark black color.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dyestuff of plant origin, obtained from a colored part of a plant species, the cell tissues of which contain iridisomes responsible for the coloration of said part.It relates most particularly to a blue dyestuff obtained from the arils of the seeds of the plant species Ravenala madagascariensis. It also relates to compositions, in particular cosmetic compositions, especially intended for making up the skin or superficial body growths, containing said dyestuff.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use, in a cosmetic or dermatological composition, of a particular water having a pH of between 7.8 and 10 and a total dissolved solids (TDS) concentration of between 10 and 250 mg/l. The invention also relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition containing this water. The invention relates in particular to a treatment method intended for preventing or delaying the appearance of the effects of intrinsic and/or extrinsic ageing of the skin, or for slowing down the effects thereof; for preventing or reducing pigmentary spots on the skin, or the coloration of hyperpigmented areas of skin; for reducing the pigmentation of the periphery of depigmented areas; for improving the uniformity of the skin coloration; or for lightening the complexion of the skin.
