摘要: A communication device operates according to a communication protocol defines a first set of frequency resource units (RUs) and a second set of frequency RUs. The first set of frequency RUs includes at least a first subset of frequency RUs having a first bandwidth and a second set of RUs having a second bandwidth greater than the first bandwidth, and the second set of frequency RUs omits at least some of the frequency RUs in the first subset of frequency RUs. The communication device determines that a communication channel to be used for an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission spans a frequency bandwidth greater than 160 MHz, and allocates one or more frequency RUs for the UL MU transmission, including: in response to determining that the communication channel spans the frequency bandwidth greater than 160 MHz, selecting one or more frequency RUs from a second set of frequency RUs.

摘要: A method, performed by a first communication device, for transmitting a wireless local area network (WLAN) packet to a WLAN network interface device of a second communication device is described. The second communication device includes a separate wakeup radio (WUR) coupled to the WLAN network interface device. The WLAN packet is generated at the first communication device to include a WUR identifier associated with a neighbor communication device. The WUR identifier is usable by the WUR of the second communication device to identify WUR packets transmitted by the neighbor communication device. The neighbor communication device is different from the first communication device. The WLAN packet is transmitted by the first communication device to the WLAN network interface device of the second communication device.

摘要: A physical layer transceiver, for connecting a host device to a wireline channel medium in which a signal component occurring at a particular time may cause interference at other times, includes a host interface for coupling to a host device, a line interface for coupling to the channel medium, and filter circuitry operatively coupled to the line interface to filter the interference caused by the signal component at the particular time and at the one or more other times. The filter circuitry includes at least one filter segment configured to operate at a first rate derived from a channel operating frequency to filter the signal component at the particular time, and at least one respective filter segment configured to operate at a respective additional rate different from the first rate. Respective delay elements allow each respective filter segment to filter the signal component at a one of the other times.

摘要: A receiver for use in a data channel on an integrated circuit device includes a non-linear equalizer having as inputs digitized samples of signals on the data channel, decision circuitry configured to determine from outputs of the non-linear equalizer a respective value of each of the signals, and adaptation circuitry configured to adapt parameters of the non-linear equalizer based on respective ones of the value. The non-linear equalizer may be a neural network equalizer, such as a multi-layer perceptron neural network equalizer, or a reduced complexity multi-layer perceptron neural network equalizer. A method for detecting data on a data channel on an integrated circuit device includes performing non-linear equalization of digitized samples of input signals on the data channel, determining from output signals of the non-linear equalization a respective value of each of the output signals, and adapting parameters of the non-linear equalization based on respective ones of the value.

摘要: A system for processing gather and scatter instructions can implement a front-end subsystem, a back-end subsystem, or both. The front-end subsystem includes a prediction unit configured to determine a predicted quantity of coalesced memory access operations required by an instruction. A decode unit converts the instruction into a plurality of access operations based on the predicted quantity, and transmits the plurality of access operations and an indication of the predicted quantity to an issue queue. The back-end subsystem includes a load-store unit that receives a plurality of access operations corresponding to an instruction, determines a subset of the plurality of access operations that can be coalesced, and forms a coalesced memory access operation from the subset. A queue stores multiple memory addresses for a given load-store entry to provide for execution of coalesced memory accesses.

摘要: A communication device determines whether a PHY data unit is to be transmitted in a first frequency band from among multiple frequency bands in which a WLAN communication protocol permits operation. The multiple frequency bands also include a second frequency band. The communication device determines whether the PHY data unit is to include a PS-Poll frame, and whether a BSS color is currently disabled for the WLAN. In response to i) determining that the PHY data unit is to be transmitted in the first frequency band, ii) determining that the PHY data unit is not to include a PS-Poll frame, and iii) determining that the BSS color is not currently disabled for the WLAN: the communication device determines that a TXOP duration subfield in a PHY preamble of the PHY data unit cannot be set to a value defined by the WLAN communication protocol for indicating a TXOP duration that is unspecified.

摘要: An AP transmits a multi-user first downlink transmission to a plurality of client stations via a first WLAN communication channel having a first RF bandwidth. The AP generates a MAC data unit having a trigger frame configured to prompt an uplink multi-user transmission by the plurality of client stations, and transmits a second downlink transmission to the plurality of client stations via a second WLAN communication channel having a second RF bandwidth. The second downlink transmission includes the MAC data unit. The AP receives the uplink multi-user transmission from the plurality of client stations via the second WLAN communication channel, the uplink multi-user transmission including simultaneous transmissions from the plurality of client stations within the second WLAN communication channel that overlap in time with the multi-user first downlink transmission via the first WLAN communication channel.

摘要: The present disclosure describes aspects of health management for magnetic storage media. In some aspects, a media health manager determines, with a read channel, read metrics for a sector of magnetic storage media that resides in a zone of magnetic storage media. The media health manager accesses read metrics of the zone and updates the read metrics of the zone based on the read metrics determined for the sector to provide updated read metrics for the zone of magnetic storage media. A health score for the zone of magnetic storage media is then determined with a neural network based on the updated read metrics of the zone of magnetic storage media. By so doing, gradual wear of the magnetic storage media may be predicted using the health score, enabling replacement of a magnetic storage media device before failure to improve reliability or availability of data stored to the device.
