Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electrostatic chuck includes a ceramic dielectric, a base plate, a first electrode layer, and a second electrode layer. The ceramic dielectric substrate has a first major surface and a second major surface. The first electrode layer is provided between the first major surface and the second major surface. The second electrode layer is provided between the first electrode layer and the first major surface. The first electrode layer has a first surface and a second surface. A distance between the first surface and the first major surface is constant. A distance between the second surface and the first surface at an end portion of the first electrode layer is shorter than a distance between the second surface and the first surface at a central portion of the first electrode layer.

Abstract: A plurality of color sensing sections are attached to a toilet seat so as to test a health state or a fecal occult blood portion every time by capturing the feces surface color during defecation. Before feces which have been excreted from a body sink into a water-seal portion, the circumference of the feces is optically captured to detect the color of the surface of the feces. By monitoring changes in color, the health state of the defecator is monitored. In particular, by checking the presence/absence of an occult blood portion, the present invention assists in early detection of colorectal cancer and allows a fecal occult blood test to be performed in a hygienic manner without burdening the user.

Abstract: The present invention provides a photocatalyst coated body which can realize a sufficient photocatalytic activity and adhesiveness with a substrate, without significantly impairing an appearance of a substrate, especially an exterior building material. The photocatalyst coated body has a structure including a substrate, an intermediate layer formed on the substrate, and a photocatalyst layer formed on the intermediate layer. The intermediate layer includes inorganic oxide particles having an average particle diameter of nanosize. The photocatalyst layer includes photocatalyst particles having an average particle diameter of more than 0 μm to less than 10 μm and inorganic oxide particles having an average particle diameter of nanosize. A sum of a film thickness of the intermediate layer and a film thickness of the photocatalyst layer is 0.3 μm or more to 1.5 μm or less.

Abstract: The present invention is a discharge socket connecting a toilet main body and a discharge pipe. The discharge socket has a vertical conduit portion; and a bent conduit portion including an inflow port connected to the vertical conduit portion; an outflow port, connected to an inlet port of the discharge pipe; and a flow path, the flow path having a bent portion. A projecting portion is disposed on the bent portion, the projecting portion forming a projecting space which projects outward from the flow path. The projecting portion is formed so that the flow direction of discharge water flowing from the bent conduit portion into the inlet portion of the discharge pipe is changed to the center direction of the discharge pipe by the discharge water returning to the projecting space after flowing from the flow path into the projecting space.
