Abstract:
A method, arrangement and network entities for controlling supplementary subscriber services in first (1) and second (12) operatively connected, overlayed telecommunications networks. Supplementary subscriber services available to a subscriber (4) in the first telecommunications network (1) may be executed in the second telecommunications network (12). These supplementary subscriber services are controlled by the subscriber (4) from the first telecommunications network (1). The first telecommunications network (1) is provided with a supplementary subscriber services handling indicator (20), indicating in which one of the first (1) and second (12) telecommunications network a supplementary subscriber service of a subscriber (4) is to be executed. Based on this supplementary subscriber services handling indicator (20), while maintaining a user control interface in the first telecommunications network (1), supplementary subscriber services control messages are processed in the respective network (1; 12) in which a particular supplementary service is to be executed.
Abstract:
A subsystem selection entity and method of controlling a subsystem selection entity is described. The subsystem selection entity is arranged to conduct a subsystem selection-procedure and a control procedure which comprises at least one control operation for controlling how one or more subsystems conduct a subscriber-not-reachable service.
Abstract:
Method, apparatuses and computer programs for handling data related to users of a communications system comprising: a database server storing data related to users of the system, and a plurality of service servers. The database server modifies (1103) a first data stored therein for a user according to a received request (1101), and sends a second message (1109) notifying the data modification to a first service server comprising: an identifier of the user, the first data after the modification, and an identifier of a second service server of the system that handle data related to the user. The first service server sends a third message (2105) to the second service server requesting to modify a data held therein in relationship with said user. Features of the invention help in reducing signaling in layered systems, since additional data are communicated in the second message.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for providing a time zone information of a mobile user entity to a presence server of a cellular network, wherein a network control node by which the mobile user entity is served, is determined. Based on the geographical position of said network control node, a time zone information is determined and transmitted to the presence server.
Abstract:
A method of performing CS (Circuit Switched) services over a LTE (Long Term Evolution) access comprises: performing CM (Connection Management) procedures via an AGW (Access Gateway); and performing MM (Mobility Management) procedures via a MME (Mobility Management Entity).
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a solution for providing IMS services to users having circuit-switched controlled terminals. In particular, it is proposed, in order to allow IMS to take the full call and service control, to combine circuit-switched and packet-based multimedia functionality in a new node type called Mobile Access Gateway Control Function (MAGCF). In particular the present invention provides a method for ensuring that the MAGCF node acts as a roaming anchor point in order to enforce the handling of originating and terminating calls in the IMS.
Abstract:
A flexible technique for registering in an IMS domain (100) of a telecommunications network a non-IMS user device (110) of a user is proposed, wherein a registration control node (104) receives a notification of an event related to a network registration of a second user device (108) of the user in the network and the registration control node initiates, based on the notification, a transaction related to an IMS registration of the non-IMS user device in the IMS domain.
Abstract:
A method, a network node and a program unit for controlling the establishment or modification of a connection in a communication network are disclosed. The connection is to be established or modified between nodes that are adapted to employ a coding scheme selected from a plurality of supported coding schemes having a different demand on a utilization of a network resource. In accordance with the invention an expected demand on a utilization of a network resource associated with employing the at least one of the supported coding schemes is determined, and a node controlling the connection selects the coding scheme to be employed such that the associated expected demand on the network resource utilization is minimized.
Abstract:
A method for initiating handover of a circuit switched service using a packet switched bearer of a mobile station (31) from a packet switched domain to a circuit switched MS eNodeB PMSC PCRF domain in a mobile communications network comprising a radio network and a core network, said method comprising communicating to the mobile station that a circuit switched handover procedure is to be initiated, said communication comprising sending a circuit switched handover required message to the mobile station, said circuit switched handover required message comprising identification of a circuit switched handover target cell; said mobile station sending a circuit switched handover required message to the core network, said handover-required message comprising identification of the handover target cell.
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a solution for providing IMS services to users having circuit-switched controlled terminals being not adapted to provide IMS services to the users. In particular, it is proposed, in order to allow IMS to take the full call and service control, to place a user agent being responsible for the user ported to the IMS in a new node type called Mobile Access Gateway Control Function (MAGCF). This new node combines the logical functionality of a cellular switching center and the logical functionality of IMS. The invention discusses a concept of a static MAGCF being deployed in a network and being assigned for handling a user.
