The security device has a microwave sensor and a PIR sensor operatively coupled to a processor. To increase the performance of the security device the device determines distance information of an object in the region with the microwave sensor, processes the distance information to adapt a frequency response of the PIR sensor to provide a frequency adapted PIR signal, and determines if the object is an intruder by using the frequency adapted PIR signal.

    摘要: A network resource control system allows network terminals to communicate with network resources, and includes a resource registry, an authorization server and an administration server. The resource registry includes resource records which are associated with the network resources and define at least a user access level for each network resource. The authorization server is in communication with the resource registry and controls network access to the network resources in accordance with the resource records. The administration server is in communication with the resource registry and provides controlled access to the resource records. The administration server receives user access control data from administrators of the network resources for incorporation into the resource records. Depending upon the user access control data received, the authorization server configures the network terminals for communication with the network resources.

    摘要: A system and method for providing a fault tolerant vehicle dynamics control (VDC) is described. The system includes a fault tolerance module that receives an indication of a fault in at least one of the actuators of the VDC and selects a fault compensation mode to maintain the stability of the motor vehicle in light of the received fault indication. The fault tolerance module proceeds by diagnosing at least one fault in at least one of the actuators, selecting a fault compensation mode based on the detected at least one fault and the driving condition, and compensating for the at least one fault by optimally controlling remaining operable actuators according to the fault compensation mode.

    摘要: The “Snap-in Deflector for Respiratory Mask” is a one piece plastic deflector held in place by its integral supports and snap ring (FIG. 2). It is designed to fit inside of a respiratory mask (FIG. 1). The deflector prevents a direct flow of air/gas into the mask user's airways without inhibiting or impeding the set flow or pressure of the device. The shape is consistent (FIG. 2); the size varies slightly and is determined by the size of mask it is to be installed in, e.g. small, medium, large. This deflector greatly reduces the irritation and discomfort of the interior of the mouth and nostrils associated with the use of respiratory masks.

    摘要: This invention is directed towards a method of using visible light at wavelengths of at least 500 nm and above in combination with a sensitizer having a flavin moiety to reduce any pathogens that may be contained in blood and blood components. By exposing the blood and blood components to light of 500 nm and higher, only the sensitizer that is bound to nucleic acids of the pathogens will be activated, thus destroying the sensitizer-pathogenic nucleic acid complex. Because unbound sensitizer is not activated at this wavelength, damage to blood and blood components caused by photolysis of unbound sensitizer may be avoided.

    摘要: A method is disclosed of automatically configuring security system control panels by using calling number information that is provided by a telephone call made to a specified telephone number, such as Calling Number Delivery (CND) information that is provided by a telephone call made to a toll free (800) telephone number. After an initial installation of a security system at an installation site, the security system control panel dials the specified telephone number to establish a telephone connection to a security company database center. The security company database center receives the calling number information that includes the telephone number of the installation site, and utilizes the telephone number of the installation site to look up in a database the security system control panel configuration information. This control panel configuration information is then automatically transferred and downloaded over the telephone connection to the security system control panel to configure and program the control panel for operation. The method of establishing a connection to a specified telephone number can also be utilized to reconfigure an already-installed security system, and also to configure many other devices and systems unrelated to security systems that need to be customized or configured.
