    摘要: A transceiver of a communication system is disclosed. The transceiver is implemented by a demodulation apparatus including a front-end receiver, a noise canceller, a feedforward equalizer (FFE) and a decoding system. The front-end receiver receives a remote signal and converts it into a first signal with a pre-cursor and a post-cursor in digital form. The noise canceller is coupled to the front-end receiver for subtracting a noise signal from the first signal and thus generates a second signal. The FFE is coupled to the noise canceller for eliminating the pre-cursor in the second signal and thus generates a third signal. The decoding system is coupled to the FFE for decoding the third signal and eliminating the post-cursor in the third signal.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an apparatus for generating a TE signal in an optical disc drive. The disclosed apparatus includes a signal generation module, a quality detection module coupled to the signal generation module, and a signal-synthesizing module coupled to the signal generation module and the quality detection module. The signal generation module generates a first and a second candidate TE signal according to a light beam reflected off an optical disc. The quality detection module estimates the signal quality of the first and/or the second candidate TE signal and controls the signal-synthesizing module accordingly.     摘要: The statistical circuit includes a pulse-width measuring unit, serially coupling delay units, a logical circuit and counters. The pulse-width measuring unit is for receiving a sampling signal and generating a pulse-width signal. A pulse occurs on the pulse-width signal as the sampling signal has status change. The delay units include a first delay unit for receiving the pulse-width signal and outputting delay signals according to the trigger of a reference clock. The output of the first delay unit is used as a reset signal. The logic circuit is for receiving the pulse-width signal and the reset signal and generating a counting signal. The counting signal is enabled for a period of time as a pulse occurs on the pulse-width signal. The counters are respectively for receiving the delay signals and counting the number of the received delay signals in a first status as the trigger signal is enabled.
